Disregard my post a few posts earlier... didn't know it was being discussed (thought I searched through the links... must be blind).

Actually the thread had fallen to the second page. When I saw your question I just merged it with the original discussion. That brought the thread back up to the top of the board for further discussion. It also kept us from having to rehash the previous discussion. The Sims visit is a hot topic and it should be on the first page at least until after he visits. So thanks for the question.

RTO, & Surfer, we seem to be showing late interest in the RB position. Is there a possibility that Ford has more serious grade issues than originally thought?

Bama has official visits scheduled for running backs Marcus Sims and Anthony Dixon. They are trying to set up visits from C. J. Spiller and Codera Eason. Some have reported that Mon Williams will be a secret visitor this weekend but that is not listed anywhere. Bama is still pursuing some of the top backs in the nation and some fullbacks also. I think it is just a case of not wanting to put all your eggs in one basket and most teams try to sign at least a couple of RBs a class.

Everything is going as planned and it certainly looks like Mike Ford will sign in the 2006 class and be at Bama at the very least this summer.

A couple of days ago it was reported that Ford did not receive the scores that he needed on his latest ACT to report early to Bama. He said that he is retaking the test and still holding out hope he will report early.
