I couldn't find it online either, but someone from another forum posted the "gist" of the conversation.
"For those of you who couldn't listen. Here's a recap. I tried my best to get it all down:
Heisman, National Championship. Incredible year. Has it all sunk in?
I don't know.
Talk about the emotional Heisman speech. What does the Heisman Trophy mean to you?
It represents hard work paying off. Overcoming adversity. My family has been through a lot. And I was happy to bring Alabama its first Heisman Trophy
What did the National Championship represent?
We set this as our goal all year. To win the National Championship. That's what we worked for all year. It was real special
What was the mood in the Alabama locker room after Utah loss?
We were frusterated and let down. We underestimated our opponent. We never want to feel that feeling again. But we learned a valuable lesson.
Did the losses to Florida and Utah drive you this year?
Yes. We didn't want to have that feeling again. Wow we know what it takes. We have to finish.
When you were in New York, did you expect to win Heisman Trophy that night?
No I just wanted to take in the experiences.
What was the conversation with your father after winning the National Championship?
He just told me to keep working to improve. He told me to never be satisfied.
What was the reaction on your sideline to Colt's injury?
Shocked. It was unfortunate, we met in New York. He worked hard to be there
Because you met him were you empathetic to his injury?
Yes. My prayers go to him and his family. He worked his whole life for that. He had a great career.
When you came to Alabama, did you expect the success to come so fast?
Yes. Our recruiting class said we were going to win a National Championship in our second year, and we did. I wish we would have said we were going to win one in our first year now!
How much does it help you to have Trent Richardson there?
He's my best friend. He's like my brother. We push each other, we're never satisfied, and together we're just going to keep getting better. It's a headache for defense to always be facing fresh legs.
Nick Saban. He's tough. He's intense. What's it like to play for him?
He knows football. He puts you in the best position to win, but also wants you to be the best you can off the field as well.
Don't talk about the run. Talk about the awesome end-zone celebration with the gloves. I loved it!
Those were new gloves we got for the game. When I saw 'em I liked them. I didn't plan it, but i when saw the camera, I just threw my gloves up.
Can you repeat as Heisman Trophy winner or National Champions? When did you start thinking about that?
Immediately. We've got to get better. We have to work. We can always get bigger, faster, stronger. We have the goal to win another one. That's our focus now. It happened immediately.
After the losses last year you played with a chip on your shoulder this year. Now you don't have the chip. Complacency?
There's no room for complacency. We have a new defense that has to prove itself. There's always room for improvement.
Thank you.
Thanks for having me. "
I love MI.
