Rough game, but we usually have at least one stinker like this in the spring semester. This loss will help us in the long run, as long as we didnt get decimated by injuries.

I know it was a 6:00 CST start and I know it's an OM team that nobody probably thought we'd lose to, but I couldn't help but notice at the beginning of the game right there in the middle section closest to the court only about half the seats where filled.

That's a problem. Fans took the game for granted and so did the team. Students filled their section looked like it, but as the whole is considered, they were lackluster.

I think we all want a new arena but nobody wants to pay for it.

I wonder if this game being sandwiched between (2) road top 10 matchups had an impact? Going into it I didn't think of it as a trap game. I couldn't help but wonder about it while leaving Coleman though.
I think this game was the result of last weekend. With the snow and everything, the end of the week was likely more chaotic for the team than usual - especially getting to TX. Then, they played a meat grinder of a game against TAMU - one of (maybe THE) most physical games of the year. Though they won, they got beat up physically and then they turn around to have to play Tuesday instead of Wednesday. Ole Miss, on the other hand, had a pretty easy game at home against LSU Saturday and avoided any travel complications since they were at home. I wouldn't make too much about last night's loss unless it continues to be a trend. UT lost by over 30 at home to Florida... but I don't many who would pin UT's team identity to that loss.

Having lived in the area for 15+ years, attendance at BB games during the week has been an up and down thing. Obviously, demand for season tickets are at an all-time high right now... but at times it's like season ticket holders either don't try to get rid of their unused tickets or maybe they can't. Others on here have mentioned the atmosphere also - and there's only so much you can do in a place where there's so many "nosebleed seats". I think a smaller, more intimate arena would help both things immensely.
