I think he does need to get better at putting a bit more air under his long throws, but I like his decision making. I think he'll get there. After all, this is only his fifth start.
EVERY WEEK! EVERY GAME! We need inprovement in the kicking game, yes. QB play is fine in the CNS/CJM system. Is it just me or do we have one of these threads doubting AJ every week?
Yep. Just as we've always had a thread (or three) doubting the abilities or actions every qb we've ever had for I don't remember how long. Regardless of how well our team is doing as a whole, someone, somewhere is going to tell us how they doubt this player or that coach's actions or decisions. They'll always say they are worried about this game or that team or whatever else comes into their narrowly focused minds. Frankly, I get sick and tired of reading them, but I also have to accept that those members have the same privilege to post their thoughts as myself. JMHOIs it just me or do we have one of these threads doubting AJ every week?
Probably not. Just put TR in at wildcat...AJ has done a great job so far. He has showed that he can make smart decisions and make passes to move the ball and open up the running game. Furthermore, our defense and special teams is scoring more points than the opposing teams are. Do we even need to field a qb? LOL.
not doubting AJ one bit. he's playing very well. all i'm saying is he will be asked to put the team on his back and pull out a victory in 1 or 2 games this year. and i believe he will get it done!EVERY WEEK! EVERY GAME! We need inprovement in the kicking game, yes. QB play is fine in the CNS/CJM system.
NEWSFLASH: AJ McCarron is a redshirt sophomore first year starting QB in the strongest conference in the nation. HE'S DOING A FINE JOB AND NOT MAKING BONEHEADED MISTAKES!
