I have posted this well over a year ago, but there are a lot of new faces and names on here so I thought it would be interesting to post it again.

TAGnBAMA = "I" cave in Alabama

TAG - Tennessee, Alabama, and Georgia (I am a caver/spelunker). TAG is the cave slang that is used to name of our area here in the south because of the caves and rich limestone that are great states produce (in the middle on up to the northern part of the state). NSS (National Speological Society) is located here in Huntsville, Al.

I'd forgotten...

your name related to the NSS. No mystery to mine - "TIDE" plus "HSV" - although that has to be explained outside this area. I've had it on all forums for over ten years - back to the old listserv era...

Mine is pretty obvious. I will be "Forever Crimson" no matter how Bama does, win or lose. And 1221 refers to 12 National Titles and 21 SEC Titles, but y'all probally already had that figured out.

That was my Grandmother's favorite coffee. She wouldn't drink anything else unless she had to. lol

My user name is derived from the Silver Surfer comic book superhero. At the time back in 2001 when I was trying to figure out a new user name. I had several others I used on different boards and I wanted to get one and stick with it. I chose Crimson Surfer after watching a movie about the Silver Surfer. I was a casual surfer in Hawaii back in the day and I liked to surf the internet for any Crimson Tide news I could find. ;)

Growing up in South Louisiana.....with a Dad who got his Masters and Doctorate from Bama.....I grew up a die-hard Bama fan....trapped in LSU country!!

And I still managed to survive!! LOL

Dixiedawg

When my first spouse and I split and I was living in "Th Phone Booth" time on the PC was all I could afford, so since I'm from the "Heart of Dixie" I'm dixie and dawg cause my ex thought I was an SOB. Dixiedawg! I have to admit it took sometime to convince others I was not a Miss St. or Ga. dawg. :eek2:

This actor friend of mine, who's done a string of sit coms over the years, said he came up with his name by using his first dog's name and his mother's maiden name. I decided to use his method and thus...Spot Dailey.

Not so exotic

SH4BAMA = Scott H and I have always been for Bama.

I grew up in Northport, moved away for many years and now I have returned to these wonderful blue skies and the sounds of the MDB and 80000 friends screaming on Saturday's.

I do have one question.

Do any of your families have traditions surrounding gameday's etc...?

My family has an ugly side. We have a Barner in our mist. Actually it's an uncle who played Baseball for them in the 50's. Anyway, we have a crying towel. This towel has been around since before I was born (1964). At the conclusion of the Iron Bowl, the losing teams supporter, It used to be my father and my uncle would get presented the towel. It's now a tattered white towel with, Bayer Asprin, Alka-Setzer, Baid-aid's,Mercurochrome etc....

This towel has to be produced at all family functions, Thanksgiving, Christmas etc.... If asked.

Anyway, since my Father passed it now is on me. I reall need to give this to the Barn side of the family....
