Hoffman and Deniro are perfect opposites for this movie...man, it's hilarious...

Babs Streissand is pretty good in the movie too...

I'm really looking forward to seeing this movie. My DH bought me "Meet the Parents" for Christmas and we watched it again last night...truly funny moments. Ben Stiller should always play a befuddled, fumbling, unlucky star kind of character...he does it so well ("Something about Mary" especially comes to mind). I think casting Dustin Hoffman and Barbra Streisand (even though I can't stand her) as the Fockers was a great idea...and I haven't even seen the movie yet.

I saw it and was totally UNDERWHELMED

It had some funny moments but it was kind of a clunker of sequel. I loved the first one but this was VERY disappointing. I'd rent it when it comes out on video or DVD but wouldn't pay full price or even matinee for it. Then again, it's just my opinion.

agreed. good performances--hoffman and barb esp--but weak script. cute, but not hilarious.

To each his/her own. I haven't seen it, but I've heard both good and bad about the movie, sorta like this thread. My wife and I plan on going to see it, probably this weekend, so I'll see then, but I'm sure I've paid for worse movies.
