That will be very interesting to watch. Kinda surprised he's doing it, never saw him taking an "analyst" type role.
I have a feeling it won't be the cookie cutter type role that many have had before him. Charles and Shaq have done a pretty good job of talking basketball over the last decade or so while also not losing their personality and brand of who they are. I see MJ doing something similar but maybe just a little more serious in tone.

I can hear the GOAT make a comment along the lines of “I’d have hit that shot”. I can also see him griping about the absolute lack of any semblance of defense being played. I guess it’s going to depend on how brash he is.

A.) Jordan doesn't need the job. I don't see him worrying about what the producers or censors think of his takes.
B.) Agreed on the defense part. I think you will get a very critical and harsh take on some of the play we are seeing these days in the league. He also probably won't be very sympathetic to the guys who are sitting out because they played the night before and need to "rest".

This younger generation needs to hear from the "old school old heads". We may have not done everything better back in the day, but we got it right quite a bit.

By "special contributor" my money is that he's gonna do "heartwarming" mini-documentary / tom rinaldi- type stories that I tend to hate in most situations. I predict that he's not going to analyze anything.
I’d love for him to actually do analysis because he’d be great.

This is one of my favorite clips from the Last Dance:

Just two of the Best Defenders ever talking strategy on how to adjust defensively in crunch time and secure the WIN.

I agree with everyone else though he would be very abrasive in criticism of today’s players even though it would be justified.

We can argue who the greatest was but Jordan will always be the greatest competitor I have seen in my lifetime. It didn't matter if it was flipping quarters, playing 1 on 1, or hop scotch Jordan was playing to win and embarrass you.
