My problem with targeting is their inconsistency in what IS targeting.

I can see why this wasn't because the player turned his head on his own - it wasn't the result of the hit. So I get it....but I'm still angry about that TD on the Jalen fumble from the helmet to helmet in the OM game, too...

Looking at the slomo, I can't agree. I think his head was snapped sharply to the left by impact...

Settling his team down, it was a good timeout. Just because Saban doesn't use timeouts in the first half doesn't mean no one should.

Yeah it was textbook targeting. For the most part, targeting calls are almost always wrong. They call it when they shouldn't and don't call it when they should.
