Maybe Milroe knew he was going to be a flop at the next level so he did all the LANK stuff to bank as much as possible.

Make a couple million in college, hopefully be a FA for a few years making the league minimum and retire at 25 with $4-5 mm in career earnings.
If that's the case, his career should be on Wall Street, not the NFL

I've wondered whether he plans on going into sports agency or something like that.

I'm not happy with the way he played (and apparently the way he got to play) but I don't really have any animosity towards the young man.

He's trying to maximize his value, albeit in somewhat of a Machiavellian way.

I know this is a place to vent, etc., but personally I feel like we've piled on JM enough...no QB is perfect and this one has had his faults totally exposed, Can he over come them through professional coaching...that has yet to be seen. He gave his all for UA and I would hope we would just show some class and let. him go in peace. Running him down, true or not, will do nothing to enhance any of our personal standing in life -- and that is what this sounds like to me.
I’d feel a lot differently if he didn’t extort the program and use it as his personal piggy bank, taking NIL TikToks in the tunnel while the rest of the team was warming up.

Hurts wasn’t the best QB for us across the seasons because he failed to develop, and he needed to be replaced by Tua. But at least he was classy about it, humble and buckled down and did the work even when he got benched. Heck, getting benched was probably the best thing for his development and he showed it in the SECC and at Oklahoma. I’d love to keep having Hurts associated with the program. Milroe, I hope he never steps foot on campus again.

That's pretty much how I feel about it.

Even with all that I'd probably be willing to take the high road after the fact but that non-tackle attempt on the Pick 6 vs OU changed how I felt.

He's the most 'Me' guy ever associated with the program who played as much as he did.

Just a supremely selfish individual.

What I really want to say about him I can't say on TFs

I don't think Milroe has any idea that he might be a flop at the next level. I think he has a very inflated opinion of himself and his abilities. I keep thinking about the IB last year when we scored on the last play and he was screaming "Give me the Heisman!" when in fact, he had played poorly most of the game.

Not only that, but I think Joe's dementia was brought about by watching Bama play the last 3 years...
That is going to politics…
But more interesting question would be “did Milroe’s play affect Saban’s decision to retire?”. It is very possible that Coach Saban could coach a couple more years if he has had a Bryce Young like QB

No, he took all he could from UA and many of his teammates and that's the rub.

He used NIL to essentially buy the spot instead of competing for it. In the process that created the most divided locker room we've had in a long, long time.

That had a major negative impact in the careers of Roydell Williams, Germaine Burton and Jace Mcclellan not to mention guys he cheated out of a competition and a legit shot to win the spot in Simpson, Lonergan and Holstien.

We lost Bond, Kitselman, Niblack, Benson and Seth at the end of 23 due to Nilroe (all those but Niblack improved their stock in leaving). Heck, even Ja'corey Brooks was a casualty of this mess cause he got caught up in the drama (picking sides and wouldn't practice hard for other QBs) and that was a major reason he ended up in the doghouse post injury.

All that certainly contributed to Saban hanging it up when he did. I'm sure it wasn't THE reason, but it was A reason.

In 24 the drama behind Nilroe is costing us Law, Odom, Prentice and Henderson - maybe even why haynes is out.

One dude, impacted ALL those guys I mentioned. They were ALL wanting to be part of the 'bama tradition. HE cost them all their chance.
