StingRay is one of the good "characters" on the Finebaum show. I love his passion and belief in his team...especially considering what team he's repping. It's genuine and he has fun with it. I hate that some of our fans have hated on him until he called it quits.
I hate that he is 'Thin Skinned' and is apparently better at dishing it out than receiving it.
Never heard of him. Don't listen much to PF, so I guess I won't miss him. I'll get along some how.

I'm so sorry he got his wittle feelings hurt but when you run your mouth before the game you should know that when you get spanked you are going to catch some grief afterward. I'm sure he enjoyed it when he did it to teams and MSU was able to back it up. I bet those fans really enjoyed his rants. In other words don't cry when you write a check your team can't cash.

God bless you for this.

I really enjoy the interviews and guests on Finebaum and other sports talk in Birmingham. But when I hear, "The phone lines are open...call us at [number]" I change the channel immediately.

Wish sponsors thought the same way.
I couldn't agree more...

Has anybody heard what his hunger strike demands are?
He could actually easily survive 9-12 months on a complete hunger strike.

But I hear his hunger strike demands were a couple dozen Bacon cheeseburgers, Krispy Kremes and gallons of sweet tea to wash it all down, until he realized a hunger strike was actually not eating, he understood it to be a strike against hunger and was going to continue eating himself to death. So now he has sacked his hungry strike, and is working on his next cow dung video.

I find his videos goofy and painful to watch.

But I will say that if I was given the choice to have our fan base represented by Stingray or Phyllis, I'd pick Stingray every time. He's pretty tame for a super fan.

Larry the drunk Bama caller called him Stinkray last week after his rant aired on Finebaum. I have always thought he looks like an overweight Hitler look a like.

Demands just released from a group calling themselves "Concerned Cowbells 2015"...

I. We demand that the University of Alabama Head Coach Nick Saban write a handwritten apology for the Concerned Cowbells 2015 demonstrators and holds a press conference in the Mississippi State Student Center reading the letter. In the letter and at the press conference, Nick Saban must acknowledge his Crimson and White Male Coaching Privilege recognize that systems of oppression exist, and provide a verbal commitment to fulfilling Concerned Cowbells 2015 demands. We want Nick Saban to admit to his gross negligence, allowing his team to abuse our bulldogs, consenting to the physical violence of his players, and refusing to intervene when his team used excessive force on Dak Prescott.

II. We demand the immediate removal of Nick Saban as Alabama Head Football Coach and SEC Dictator. After his removal a new amendment to the SEC system policies must be established to have all future Alabama Head Football Coaches selected by by a diverse group of students, faculty, staff and administrators, from around The SEC, a group of exceptional diversity AND sensitivity regarding the long pattern of abuse and violence demonstrated BY Alabama under Nick Saban.

There are other demands which I will omit as they deal mostly with StingRay getting more time on Finebaum, meal allowances and food discounts, and either a state provided hostess escort, OR the creation of several anonymous accounts on Ashley Madison.

I agree completely. Stingray's better than Jim from Tuscaloosa. too.

There's another post by Stingray on the page in that original link that says he's now "reconsidering": http://www.secrant.com/sec-football...-stingray-quits-due-to-alabama-fans/60164933/

Seems the "I QUIT" post was more attention seeking and compliment fishing than anything. "I quit, you guys are mean!" "No, Stingray, don't quit! We love you, you're the best!" [Stingray feels better about self]

NEWS FLASH - the internet is an ocean full of ruthless bully sharks. It sucks, but this guy dove in head first with an EAT ME shirt on and is now whining because somebody nibbled on his toes...

Sorry, but this guy is all Miss State and never attended the Capstone. He's also a member of the Starkville QB Club. I don't know, who started that rumor. He's always running his mouth about State and Dakota Prescott. He's getting back what he dished out all last week.

Give me ambiguity or give me something else.

Did Al.com get it wrong?

On a chilly November day in 2007, just two days after the last time the Crimson Tide lost to Mississippi State, Steven Ray walked into class at the University of Alabama wearing a maroon t-shirt and a smile. His classmates -- former Alabama quarterback John Parker Wilson among them -- weren't exactly amused, as they were still reeling from the 17-12 upset loss against the Bulldogs.
But Ray, a lifelong Alabama resident and defiantly passionate Mississippi State fan, didn't seem to mind.
Seven years later, the 26-year-old Tuscaloosa native and Alabama alum has emerged as a recurring Finebaum ranter/cowbell clanger, except this year it's probably not as baffling to those who know him best.
