I think the clock would have started up once the ball was spotted because it wasn't in the last two minutes of either half.

Guess I forgot about the rule change they made a while back - to speed the game up - thanks @Krymsonman !

Okay, Mizzou is a very hard team to watch, and a harder team to like.
A defensive player makes a sack. A great play. He runs 20 years behind the offense to celebrate by himself, while the offensive can hasten to line up for the next play. Mizzou was saved by the fact that Iowa called a time out to save clock.
On 4th an 1, Iowa runs a QB sneak, one Mizzou player leaps over the offensive line and stops (momentarily) the QB, but does not have leverage to tackle him.
Other Mizzou players, who could help finish the tackle, are running around celebrating while the play is still going on. My goodness, these guys would give me a coronary if I was their coach.
