Hey guys and Gals.

Life time Bama fan here who has never made it to a game.

Those of you that made it to the game....anything you would like to share to give me an idea of what is was like?

Any pictures?

What the atmosphere was like?

Anything....lol!

I am desperate here.

Actually from any game would be great.

Thanks again!

Explaining the feelings for games like this one are like telling someone to explain how they felt on their wedding night.

It is a bit hard to describe Heather. But I will tell you this about the very beginning, when you are standing out there in BDS and the Million Dollar Band comes out and plays for a few mintues and all the seats fill up, and then they form up, and everyone starts to cheer, and the Jumbotron plays highlights and Coach Bryant's voice comes over the loudspeaker, it will give you chills.

You look around there is some 65 year old grandaddy holding up his 4 year old granddaughter and she's got on a miniature cheerleader's uniform and a big bow in her hair and she's pointing at Big Al cutting some foolishness on the field and you notice he has tears in his eyes....

The crowd gets louder and louder. They show it on the Jumbotron as two security guards open the doors and you can see Coach Saban and the team come up the walkway to the tunnel exit and you think it can't get any louder. The Band starts playing Yea Alabama and the cheerleaders start running and flipping across the field, and then it does get louder. The team runs out and the grass is so green and the uniforms so Crimson it makes your eyes hurt. They spin that big red flag with the A round in circles and suddenly you realize everyone is singing the fight song and the hair stands up on the back of your neck....

It really really is just hard to describe. I'll leave it to others to give their own impression of the quad, the players, the team, the stadium. Do yourself a favor Heather, get to Tuscaloosa, by hook or crook. I promise you that you will not regret it.

Going to an away game is totally different from a game at BDS. Other schools have their own "thing" they do that I'm sure raises the goosebumps on the arms of their fans, but BDS has an atmosphere that makes other schools pale in comparison.

uaintn did a good job describing the scene, but you need to get there and experience it for yourself. Get on ebay or stubhub, or check the ticket swap board on this site, and buy yourself a ticket for an upcoming home game. You'll be hooked!
