That was the only play I liked during the Franchione years, the old smoke draw.
In the right situation it can't be beat. Georgia hurt Ole Miss with Saturday.

Not to get personal, but does it really matter why they are not being made?

If we can't fix the problem and complete some of those throws then we probably need to try something else. The zone defense typically lends itself to throws over the middle of the field. I am also of the opinion that the original poster is right; if they are going to sell out to stop the passing then the draws would probably be good to try.

I have always been told that the definition of stupidity is to try the same thing over and over hoping for a different result. Unfortunately, I can also verify that this is very true.

I think fRan ran five smoke draws with S. Williams on a scoring drive right before the half in the 2002? LSU game. (w/ Saban)

They just couldn't stop it.
