I had a friend who went to the barn. He said there was a guy in one of his classes that would sometimes were Alabama shirts to class.

you would see plenty of Bama shirts on campus at the Barn

Chicago, but hear me out. I was walking down into Wrigleyville (near Wrigley Field), and my wife saw an Alabama flag flying on a bar. So we investigated. Turns out it is an Alabama bar in Chicago. Now that's random. The bartender casually said they opened it since there were no other Alabama bars in Chicago, like that makes a bar there totally reasonable. I met several Alabama fans there over a beverage.

Not just a 'Bama bar', it's called the Houndstooth!

I've see Bama fans in Glasgow, Montana and Calgary, AB, Canada.

A transient Air Force jet coming from Kansas had just landed with a few mechanical problems. When I go to meet the aircrew out on the taxiway and start discussing the problems they were having on the jet, I learn that one of the guys is actually from Alabama. After he and I make that home state connection, he pauses for a second then asks me in front of everyone: "I have just *ONE* question to ask you."

I don't wait for his question. I simply answer "Roll Tide".

He smiles and says "Good".


The rest of his group eventually picked up on what just happened.

Not so unusual, but whenever we cruise, we always see more Bama fans than any other school. Even though we usually go out of New Orleans or Florida.


But we all crowded around eachother in one of the ship's bars to watch the Bama/Clemson game in 2008, it was GREAT!

Walking outside the Vatican.Had on my Alabama sweatshirt and a man outside a condo said "Roll Tide". His daughter went to school there.Also Garmisch-Partenkirchen ,Germany stayed at a bed and breakfast the owners son attended UA.
