Who has noticed Brodie forgetting to put his mouthpiece in? I've seen it at least twice. Lets hope the coaches see it and let him know about dental work.

The mouth piece does prevent chipped teeth but it is mainly used to prevent concussions. I didn't notice Brodie not using it though. I will watch for that.

Brodie never uses it. Check the pictures in the papers he never has it in, I haven't seen him in with it yes. And as far as chipped teeth I practiced football without mine one time and got a chipped back tooth on the first play before asking for another one. (didnt wanna ask because you had to run for forgetting your eq.)

He wears it on passing plays where the risk of getting hit is higher. He usually doesn't wear it on a play where he hands off the ball, because he won't be taking the hit!!

hmmm

I dont think he forgot to put it in...I think he didnt need to put it in because he knew it was a run and he wouldnt need it...

I sure hope, I didn't cause trouble by bringing notice to the mouthpiece. It would kill me to know a defense picked up a habit by me posting it on the internet. I think I would just start listening to the games on the radio. Well maybe not, but I definetely won't post on something like this again just in case.

penalty?

I thought it was a procedure penalty to not have protective gear worn properly. Or is that only in reference to having the chinstrap snapped in place. Anyone know?
