Karma, indeed.

He essentially predicates signing with Arkansas on the hiring of his offensive coach as OC, and then pouts like a baby when -- gasp at the horror! -- as a starting true freshman in the SEC, Nutt and company decide to play it safe and largely just feed the ball to two future first round NFL draft pick tailbacks. And then when he pouts more, mama and everybody else start raising a stick, and it ultimately lays the seeds for the departure of Houston Nutt.

And now he's #3 on the depth chart, even after Sanchez left early, and will only see another college snap if he transfers to East Popcorn State. If that's not karma, I don't know what is.

I cannot say it's really a major surprise, though. The biggest problem Mustain has is that he simply is not that good, regardless of how many stars he was given coming out of high school. And the mental toughness and dedication side of things is certainly lacking.

Moma ain't gonna be happy. Maybe she should make a trip up to Pete the pistol's office. Where is that located exactly? Up on Rodeo somewhere?

Yep, Mama Mustain and family have already loaded up the truck and headed west. She's got her shotgun ready to go...

Coach Bryant placed a lot of importance of getting kids with "good mama's and papa's," Mama Mustain proves his point.

What's next for the Mustains? Maybe he could see the field for the Tyson Farms Fighting Chicken Pluckers?

Whenever a young person fails to meet the standard, he faces a choice:
1. Realize that it is he who has failed, and resolve to get better, faster, stronger, smarter, and win the second round of competition.
2. Succumb to the idea that the contest was not fair, he never had a real chance, and therefore his failure is not really his fault.

A person's choice at this fork in the road says a lot about his character, and the chances for future success.

I think most people saw this coming, When you have issues with playing time and play calling you never transfer to a place that has more 5* recruits transferring out than most teams ever sign. If he goes to a Texas Tech or Baylor he has a good shot, Now he's looking at manager of Carl Jr's.

I'm sure Mitch Mustain is talented, but I never really understood why he was ranked the #1 overall prospect in the country the year he came to Arkansas. He's just not THAT good.

He should go to South Carolina, at least there he can pump gas after graduation, like all the other Gamecocks.:)

As gothic as the Mustain saga has been, let's not forget the contributions of that great molder of young men, Houston Nutt.

If half of the stuff coming out of Arkansas is true, Nutt stunk of hog poop when he turned up in Oxford.
