The subtle nuances of the word "some" continue to elude many.
As does the nuance that there is a throughput component to cultural assimilation without causing cultural and political chaos.
The US can accept some immigrants from muslim countries as long as they assimilate to their new adopted country (and as long as assimilation is a stated goal consciously embraced by the immigrants). But assimilation is not automatic, and it takes time (as in potentially multiple generations). Try too many, too fast, and problems will ensue.
And as a citizen of the United States, I expect that the general government will screen prospective immigrants to determine how they will make these Unites States better by their admission.
