I got back to Pennsylvania late Sunday night, and had to work today, so I haven't had a chance to post till now.
What a weekend!
I was afraid that Penn State would not be able to hang with Bama, unless they could play a near flawless game. Well, 3 turnovers in the Red Zone pretty much killed what remote chance we had. Alabama is simply the better team on both sides of the line of scrimmage.
I don't feel there is a lot of shame in going into a hostile environment, against arguably the best team in College Football,(I don't have a vote in any of the polls, but I would vote you guys #1). and giving your all, with a young team.
Richardson is as good as advertised. I thought you guys were crazy saying you thought he was better than Ingram. McElroy did what veteran QB's do best, and credit to your coaches who came up with a quality gameplan (5 receiver spread?) that kept our defense guessing.
As I said earlier, I knew walking out of T-town win a win was a remote possibility, so I went into the weekend just looking to have a good time in a great College atmosphere. I was not disappointed. From the ribs at Dreamland, to the Yuengling beer on tap at the Houndstooth, with the Phillies on TV no less. I enjoyed talking with many knowledgable football fans all weekend. Thanx to Charles from New Orleans, and Jason from Dallas, for respectful pregame talk. I caught the Marching Band on the steps of the Library. I told some students that is why I love college football. I live 10 minutes from the Philadelphia Eagles Stadium, and to me the Pro game cannot match the pageantry, and passion of the college game.
Good luck the rest of the way. I don't think anyone in the country can beat you, as long as Saban can keep the men focused. I hope we don't have to wait another 20 years for a home and home again. If I'm still alive, I will be back. Thanks again.

p.s. God bless the coeds who cheered me up by wearing the combination of a sundress with cowboy boots!!!
