Well..he MAY but Najee also might believe he can improve on that with a good combine..and I sure won't bet against him. Something about watching a big RB who has Najee skills in person.I would be surprised if he came back.

Amen Brother. Or as Shug Jordan said almost daily..."You ahh sooo rite Cah-rull".If the Titans don't keep Henry -- they don't deserve to draft Najee.....sorry
Yep, should be rookie of the year. And a fractured shoulder.Jacobs is the exact type of back the NFL wants. He’s fast, low center of gravity, compact but built, and strong.
I love our Backs...but we missed Jacobs just like we missed Irv Smith Jr at TE. That cut-back step in the middle of a run. Wow. We may have a Back who owns such skills but I haven't seen him just yet. Hope Jacobs wins the award.Yep, should be rookie of the year. And a fractured shoulder.
I just don't think the situation's as settled as I thought it was a couple of days ago...If my math is correct, that’s 3 times you’ve mentioned he needs to come back. Got any inside info for us or just hopefulness?
That shows you how much the position is devalued in today's NFL.I don't think he even got a 3rd round grade...
Looked at this link for the rookie pay scale. This is last year's, but I think it'll serve for this purpose:I just don't think the situation's as settled as I thought it was a couple of days ago...
The biggest difference - players who are drafted on Day 1 or Day 2 are given more time to develop, and given more assistance in the endeavor. They are high profile draft picks. There is a reason that teams get more time to make picks in these early rounds. The players are more highly valued, so there is more trading and jostling for position. Once you drop into the 4th round, the players become more and more of a "number" than a person.Looked at this link for the rookie pay scale. There's not a ton of difference between 7th round and the 4th round. Some, but not a huge percentage.
That starts to change in the 3rd round (particularly the top half of the 3rd), and there's a distinct difference for 2nd round.
I don't think 1st round is a realistic possibility for Najee, no matter how long he stays in college. So if I were him, it would be a question of whether I could realistically improve my position into the 2nd or 3rd round.
If so, I could make several hundred thousand dollars by staying. If not, there's no reason to stick around. Might as well get paid now, even if it's less than what I envisioned three years ago.
Heck yea, we'd all receive him with open arms if he wishes to come back!
From what I am reading, Najee is still in contact with Coach Saban and the staff will receive him with open arms if he wishes to come back. this is getting interesting.
That will allow Trey Sander to settle in and K. Robinson to serve as no. 3 perfect situation.

Also, it's too much of a risk to not pad yourself a big margin of error for "just in case" on draft day it doesn't go the way you thought. It's one thing having a draft grade of 2nd/3rd round and fall to 4th. It's quite different to have a 4th round grade and fall to 6th. I think he'd be wise to try to work his draft grade up to a 2nd/3rd round. My guess is that Najee Harris is going to return for 2020. The business side of all this must have taken him aback. He probably felt like he was at least one of the best at his position but the analysis on where he will probably be drafted this year surprised him. I'd bet that he was mentally already seeing himself in the draft this April so it is a big decision for him to recenter on another year in college.
Two things would help Harris if he decides to come back. The first is that he has to stay healthy. The second is that we have to make the playoffs and potentially play for a National Championship. The perception of him playing on a championship team as the starting RB would help him tremendously. He has to play well, of course, but the cast of characters around him could really help him regardless of whether he gets less touches. And you know we are going to use him in the passing game and their ain't nothing more beautiful than seeing Najee trucking down the sideline in the open field after catching the ball coming out of the backfield. With the development and addition of other RBs, I don't know if NH would get as many touches next year. He had a very good year for us this year and capped it off with a very good performance in the bowl game. I don't know if his stock will get any higher than it is right now. It is possible that he could come back and improve his grade, but it is also possible he could come back and see his grade slip a bit if he doesn't duplicate this year's results. I say he chooses to go.
