Nashville apologies to Bama fans.

It had some...

nice points, all right. My perception was blurred by my bladder discomfort and I stand by my assertion that the restroom setup was absurd. For that matter, I wish I could find whoever posted how great the food was.

the best thing there is when Logan's is firing up the smoked turkey legs... I didn't see any, but man, they are a treat!

I sometimes wonder if I wouldn't rather have a 70,000-ish stadium with a nice lower level and club level than continuing to add on to an antiquated stadium without many amenities and in need of some aesthetic repairs... I don't know.. just something we were discussing as we tailgated.

Well...

you're obviously a partisan of the Titan's stadium, so this conversation is going nowhere. If you will look at the comments about the stadium, they are not overwhelmingly positive. The club level is just OK, with the exception of the lousy restrooms and the lousy food. A nice "elitist" 70K stadium might be what you wish for, but it will not happen in college ball. For one thing, the metro taxpayers are paying for the Coliseum. Can't happen in T-Town. Can't happen in Alabama, period. Tearing down and rebuilding B-D would be astronomical. Building on the outskirts without taxpayer money would be astronomical. Basically, you're saying you'd be comfortable telling 16K Bama fans they can no longer attend games. You know, there are several other things I could add, but I'm just bored with this dead end...

Agreed. And our conversation was just filler while were waiting for the game. No one really suggested that we tear down BDS and rebuild... more of a "what if" a school had a slightly smaller, more 'comfortable' stadium than a 110,000 miss-matching patchwork stadium.

patchwork stadium.

The worst of the patchwork stadiums I've been to is Soldier Field. We went up there this summer to watch the USA play Poland in soccer and man, that is one ugly stadium now. It looks okay on the inside, but the outside is an eyesore. It looks like a spaceship landed inside a nice, traditionally designed stadium:

Most college stadia...

are a "patchwork," for the reasons mentioned. Old frat houses lies under the corners of the present B-D. Soon, one more will be. The inexorable movement of Div I-A FB is to accomodate more fans, not fewer. Smaller stadia will not be built. Which 16K would you exclude? I can imagine the screams now... One other thing about the club level at the Coliseum - someone told me that, should the weather be bad, we could watch inside on the big-screen TVs. 19" Sonys perched up 20' on columns are not quality viewing - particularly when it's almost impossible to find a seat where the screen is not washed out by glare.

you can answer me something. Why is a stadium, licensed to sell beer and spirits on the club level, allowed to built with only one restroom for that level, with a total of seven (ahem!) "outlets" in said restroom? I missed the first several minutes of the third quarter, standing in a 60' line just to get in the restroom...

AMEN BROTHA!!! PREACH ON!!!!

I had N-E-V-E-R in my ENTIRE LIFE waited in line for a frikkin urinal, NEVER! What in God's name were they thinking?!?!?

I had to wait a looooooooong time to go to the bathroom at the Magic vs. Knicks game a few nights ago and thought that was odd too. Between that and buying a drink, I just about missed the whole third quarter and I got up right at half time.

Hmmmm...

a trend? As an OF with a tiny bladder and a huge prostate, I protest. (I know all thank me for sharing that...)
