Clemson plays a garbage schedule, but they are still good enough to beat OSU. That tells me they are good enough to beat LSU.
No doubt they are good enough. But this isn't the same Clemson team as a year ago. This is a very vulnerable Clemson defense that got bailed out massively against Ohio State, and was not tested one bit during the regular season. There are holes there and LSU is going to exploit them.

The more I think about it, the more I believe that as long as LSU is mentally right, they are going to destroy Clemson. Clemson does not have the DL to get pressure on Burrow and they will have to blitz and that is going to leave them vulnerable. No one has been better than Burrow this year at dealing with pressure. He is going to light their secondary on fire and watch it burn.

I agree. I don't think LSU will be conservative one bit against Clemson. The left Burrow in the game a long time the other day vs. Oklahoma. I thought they would pull him after the first drive of the 2nd half, but they seemed to be keeping the foot on the throat of OU. Clemson looked like they hadn't been in a real game for a lot of the game the other night. Clemson did make plays to win the game though so you have to give them credit, and Ohio St. didn't make the plays they needed to in the red zone, but if the calls wouldn't have gone their way with the officials do you really think they get back in that game?

I know we may dislike LSU, but I have to like Joe Burrow because he is a worker. Fabio on Clemson just doesn't seem like he is all he is made out to be. He is 6-6 220 lbs. though. He has all of the qualifications to be a great one, but he isn't there yet. I would take Tua or Burrow over him any day.

I want lsu to win for simple reasons: if Clemson wins, they will be B2B National Champions ( Bama did it in 2011-12 ) they would have 3 NC in 4 years ( Bama did it in 2009, 2011-12) , they will be the new Dynasty replacing Alabama's place at the top of CFB. I can't fathom or stomach that thought when we all know Clemson plays in that joke of a conference to reach the Playoffs since its inception.. Furthermore, if they win their 3rd NC during this span , their 2 NC includes defeating Alabama on the way to the top of the mountain.

A Lsu wins hurts our recruiting , but Burrow and Brady are lighting in a bottle. Alabama can shut them up quickly since we play them yearly.
OTOH, Dabo has built Clemson into a machine in the mold of Alabama over the last 5 years and shows no sign of slowing down. Their recruiting prowess is truly impressive and only Alabama has proven to recruit at a more elite level over the last decade than Clemson. Another NC for Clemson will cement their legacy which coincides with Bama at the moment.

Asking me who I want to win this game is like asking me if I want to be shot in the head or stabbed in the head.
I look at it like, shot in the head and you are 99.999% dead on impact. Stabbed in the head and you may well survive and be permanently disabled. I liken the stabbing to a Clemson NC, and all the media bloviating that will come along with it.

I'd rather LSU win simply because if Clemson wins they are the current dynasty....3 out of 4 and back to back. If Jalen could have completed a few passes in the 2016 championship game and the defense doesn't get completely rubber legged after 99 plays then Bama has 15-16-17 and we aren't talking about Clemson winning 3 out of 4.

I think Burrow is a much better QB and field commander than Fabio too. Really think this LSU team is a special one for them and they win this game by 10+ points.

Funny, even their special team I still think gets beat by this years Bama team....with a healthy Tua, Moses, McMillon, Ray.

I can't stand Dabo crowing about how they take it easy, go home for dinner with the kids and such, that some places try too hard. Maybe that works in the ACC. I could not stand them winning back to back. And as much as I can't stand Orgeron either, Dabo is more likely to be back next year looking for 3rd, while Orgeron will be looking for a new QB and a new system, and some new voodoo.

Fortunately (if "fortunate" is the right word for your 2nd worst scenario), LSU has the better team this year.

I like Dabo for the most part.. I just don't like the fact Clemson is a threat to Bama each year now. I thought it was interesting that he said the game Saturday was the most physical game they have played all year and all the players and coaches were sore. And, some players were injured of course.

If Clemson played in the SEC, most every game they played would be that physical every Saturday... except maybe the cupcake games. Without meaning to (probably), he basically admitted their conference is not that physical on a regular basis. I wish Ohio State would have won, and they should have, but I will admit that Clemson played very physical when they needed to. Especially Trevor Lawrence.

Unless LSU has a brain fart I don’t see them losing this game. What concerns me is Clemson getting “help” from refs or breaks.
Night before last, the four-letter sports network had this nauseating documentary on Clempson. I mean, the tone of this documentary was "When a Clempson player breaks wind, it is a gift from God." Clempson football players have negotiated a comprehensive peace in the Middle East. Clempson football players have discovered the cure for cancer. etc. etc. It was nauseating.
I am suffering from Clempson fatigue. I think others are as well.

I hope Delpit tackles Longface by his hair. I want to see The-Barn-with-a-Lake humiliated. Given the late-season prowess of the LSU D, I think I might just get to see it.

LSU is simply the better team and should win by 2+ scores.
The only thing in the back of my mind is LSU and Burrow have not had a Bad game. They've had a couple close games. The law of averages has to catch up sometime. I hope it's not this game.

Tough call on who to pull for, but there has to be a winner and loser. So, I begrudgingly favor the Bengal YawYaws. Hopefully, they’ll shut up the Clemson dynasty crowd.

if LSU wins i guess that strips Clemson of their claim to last year being the greatest team of all times considering that LSU would have gone undefeated playing a much tougher schedule.

I picked Clemson in our little office pool ahead of the playoffs and I still think they will find a way to win. Things just seem to happen for Clemson.

There is no logical reason to think that LSU won't win this, I just don't think they will.

Yeah, Burrow seems like a pretty good dude who would be a great teammate. I like Dabo quite a bit and don't much care for the Ogre, though. Pulling for LSU would be tough for me. I've disliked them for a long time. I don't think I could ever pull for LSU, AU, UGA, or UT to win titles.
