Good for him. But teams like Alabama and OSU are looking for upgrades, with a higher bar than Colorado

I'll be curious to see how far that climbs in the short time Prime has until signing day.

Bama had 3 guys playing that transferred in from the portal. Just 3. Ricks, Gibbs, and Burton.

Josh Pate had an interesting take on “Portal Monday” last night. He said a new normal will be players entering the portal with no intent to transfer, but as a way of gaining leverage for additional NIL deals. Basically using the portal like an MLB free agent who turns down a team’s qualifying offer, but then still signs with them with a better long-term contract.

No idea if that applies with Cohen or any of our guys entering the portal today. But I thought that was an interesting perspective.

With the portal rules being as lax as they are, I can definitely see kids dipping their toe in the water. Only to change their minds when they don’t get the NIL offers that someone is in their ear telling them they deserve.

Many web sites had Steen in the transfer portal. Maybe he entered the portal to see who was interested?
