The xbox version says:

I was jazzed about the game but that puts a big damper on it.

I'm hoping that is just poorly worded. EA Sports PGA Tour has the same wording, but you do not have to have the subscription to play. The game does require your console to be online but does not require the subscription unless you want to play others online.

I noticed on the website you need a $6 monthly subscription in order to receive special items. So basically if you don’t pay you end up getting behind others who do and can’t compete. At least that’s how I see it.

Gameplay deep dive released:

This is the guy Edwards played against. He was allowed to use the raw footage to talk about the gameplay even more, so he shows stuff that was edited out of EA's video. Oddly, it also shows that EA sped up the gameplay in their edited video, in this video it looks better and smotther at the normal speed.

One week left, I can't wait for this game and 2 days left (I'm not buying the deluxe version just for early access)!

Ugh…I took screenshots to show my son what they were doing to him. I can’t remember the search I was doing to get it but it was off of the EA site. I’ll see if I can find it and post a link.

I only play Mtg Arena (yes, NERD!!!!!!!!!!!) on my PC. Last console I had was PS3.

Must be the Demo because I thought the game didn't release until Friday?

I just looked at the website for the game and they've only released the player ratings for the Top 100.

They definitely need to be tweeked at 1st glance because the #1 QB is Sanders and they have his awareness in the 90's.

He took more negative plays than I think I ever seen a Major Starting QB take in one season.

There are 2 ways to play the game early but, it’s too late for one way.

1 - If you had pre-ordered the Deluxe Edition, you can play it now. But, if you had not pre-ordered before 4pm est yesterday, then you have to wait until Friday.

2 - If you subscribe to EA Play, you get a 10 hour early play preview. You do not even have to pre-order/buy the game, it is just part of the EA Play subscription service. Xbox users who subscribe to GamePass Ultimate already have EA Play as it is include in that tier of GP. Otherwise, EA Play starts at 4.99 on both Xbox and PS.

I’m using the 10 hour preview because I only bought the standard version of the game.

My first full game last night was UcheaT @ Bama. Game was tied at 29 and, with :05 left, UcheaT missed a 15 yard FG that could have won the game. Unfortunately they left :01 on the clock. Since it was tied with OT looming, I decided to take a shot and this happened…

It's officially out now. I think it is a pretty good first outing after an 11 year hiatus. There are some issue that will hopefully be addressed with patches, like the sim AI is doing weird things in many people's dynasties.

The difficulty is harder overall. I started on All-American but was getting the crap beat out of me. Dropped to Varsity and I like the challenge on offense (the new passing method is challenging; you have to think about where to try and place the ball now) but I still can' stop the CPU on defense. I don't want to drop to Freshmen but may give it a try. Or just start messing with sliders.

I played two practice games and have played about 4 games into dynasty mode with Alabama of course. The game is really fun so far. Running the ball is fun and challenging. Passing the ball is still really really challenging to me. I have it on All American and the pass defense seems too good at times. I haven't lost a game yet and that's mainly because of the run game and the defense getting several pick sixes. The defense has bailed me out alot in this game so far.
