Game Thread: NCAA Tournament Rd 2 - Non-Alabama catch-all

this is the kind of game Cal loses. It wouldn’t surprise me if Oats was talking mid-major smack about High Point just to fire them up before Arkansas game.

With the play clock hitting zero and Vandy down by two...Tyler Tanner launches a 3 pt shot from beyond half court.......and it came VERY VERY VERY close to going in!

Nebraska gets the win and moves on.

Absolute cinema!

This has been for the most part one of the chalkier NCAAT in recent memory.

So far the Zags are the only Top 4 seed to go down.

I hope I can still say that after today.

Last year was pretty chalk.

For the most part.

There were 2 Six’s and a Five and Ten seed that made the Sweet 16 last year.

The Elite 8 was nothing but Top 3 seeds or higher and mostly Top 2 seeds.

I just hope we can at least make the Sweet Sixteen.

Michigan looks like a real handful for anybody though.

yeah it is interesting that most brackets get blown up when higher seeds (1-4) lose in the first two rounds. This year it was the middle seeds (5-8) not holding serve early. Every 8-9 game this year went to the number 9 seed. Texas, Texas A&M, VCU and HighPoint destroyed a bunch of brackets early.

USF HC Bryan Hodgson (former assistant to Nate Oats at Alabama) looks to be heading to Providence as their new Head Coach.

Additionally it looks like it is “all over but the shouting” for Hubert Davis at UNC. Possibly as soon as today. The speculation is that Dusty May at Michigan is the top target. I think May has a good thing in Ann Arbor and I’d be somewhat surprised if he left for Chapel Hill.

Agree; Michigan can write the check, and will. Nate will not be far down the list.

Miami Purdue is a close game right now.

Just came in from working in the yard. Nice sunny day in the 70's. I have a lot to do - much due from the February freeze.

Now time to relax and watch some March Madness!

My bracket is slowly recovering as the up-setters are getting their comeuppance in the next round...lol.
