Yeah, I really hate that they are glossing over that and basically saying the "time ran out". He made the play and caused the clock to keep going.




Congrats to Manti, we will have our chance to play against him.

Teo is a great player. No doubt about it. However, the media has gone over the top with the coverage about him. This has been a perfect storm in regards to the media coverage for him:


  • Plays for ND
  • Grandmother and girlfriend die in a car crash. He plays that weekend and does very well.
  • Has unreal stats.
  • Plays for ND
  • Undefeated team
  • Plays for ND

I agree with everything you said, but his girlfriend died from leukemia and his grandmother died of a stroke.

He's a great player and he was a big time recruit. But he does get a tremendous boost by playing for Notre Dame. I still don't begrudge him any awards though. He seems like a great person. Although, he doesn't deserve the Heisman, IMO.

CJ wasn't listed as a starter Saturday. Hard to argue for awards when you aren't starting.

I'd have to say that Jarvis Jones is right up there with Teo and yet he does not get any Heisman talk. I really hope Johnny Manziel gets it.

For some reason, I thought they died in a car wreck. Not sure what made me think that.

Yeah, the captain of one of the top statistical defenses in the nation shouldn't argue about awards since he doesn't start. :rolleyes:

Te'o deserved it, in my opinion. Had to be either him or Jarvis Jones. Can't really argue with what he has done as the linchpin of one of the best defenses in the country. And 7 INTs for a LB also making that many tackles is just ridiculous.

Whether we like it or not, we are likely to have a Nat'l Championship team with ZERO National Awards unless Millner wins....

Not sure how Shelley wasn't up for the Groza -- he's missed ZERO kicks this year.

And why would you not start that captain and have him in for nearly every play?
