New Associate AD for Bama........

I noticed in the Tuscaloosa News today that Johnny Williams ( AD at Troy State ) is one of the leading candidates for that new position at Bama. That sent up a red flag for me. Williams has been not a FANTASTIC job as the AD at Troy, and has brought them further than I ever thought possible this quickly. Troy would be considered a 'Mid major' right now, and it would seem to me that the next likely jump for Williams would be as AD at a 'big school', since he has been the AD at Troy for 11 years. IF Williams is hired as the new Associate AD at Bama, I'm going to make a prediction.....I'll see that hire as a signal that Williams is being groomed to take over for Mal down the road.

Sorry, but I would like to see Ozzie Newsome as our next A.D. It seems like a good choice for Associate A.D. though.

I think most Bama fans would like to see Ozzie become the Bama AD, but we don't always get what we want. I think a lot of people ASSUME that Ozzie might be our next AD, but it's never been anything that was inevitable. Ozzie has a great job, and from what I understands...loves it. There are a lot of great candidates out there besides Ozzie Newsome. Johnny Williams being one.
