New Daniel A. Moore Print---"Never Again"

  • HELLO AGAIN, Guest! We are back, live! We're still doing some troubleshooting and maintenance to fix a few remaining issues but everything looks stable now (except front page which we're working on over next day or two)

Thanks for your patience and support! MUCH appreciated! --Brett (BamaNation)

if you see any problems - please post them in the Troubleshooting board!

Ha ha ha.

"Never Again" on canvas depicts the University of Alabama's long historical football team "Never Again" receiving another dime from this author. All are individually numbered, starting with 1. The Paul Bryant Museum will receive zero in appreciation for all they do!

Well, you certainly don't have to buy the product if you don't want to. The University of Alabama rakes in the dough and these Daniel Moore prints aren't gonna cause UA to go bankrupt.

Kinda makes you feel bad. Everyone involved is just so broke due to Daniel's selfishness.

Do you guys have something against Daniel Moore and Keith Dunnavant?

Sincere question: There must be some history here I'm unaware of.

^^ This. ^^

Alabama football is raking in money hand over fist. A bigger stadium with more seats and luxury boxes. Sky high prices at the concession stand. We pay through the nose for parking. A lot of families cannot afford to go to the game due to the prices. I don't complain about the prices we pay here. As you say, I don't have to go to the games if I don't like the prices.

I really have no feelings toward Daniel Moore one way or the other, but I do know he portrays Alabama football in a very positive way and captures some great memories with his paintings. Yes, I own several of his prints but again I have no feelings about him one way or the other. I am amazed that everytime a thread starts that mentions his name it becomes a bash Daniel Moore thread.

Why the hate on Daniel Moore?????????????? He is one of the GREATEST artists of all time. UA was SCREWING Danny NOT the other way around!!!!!!! Ummmmmmmmmmmmmm Danny WON the court case. There must be alot of bloodsucking UA Board of Directors in this thread. GEEEEEEEEZZZZZZZZZZZ!

The university tried to sue Daniel Moore a few years ago. They didnt like the fact that they werent getting a slice off of his profits. Moore won but a lot of people are butt-hurt about it.

Just to add to your post......Moore paid licensing fees on the majority of his work to UA. That wasn't good enough for UA...They wanted EVEN more. Looks like the Court judgement didn't exactly rule in UA's favor over Moore.

I remember that, although I did not pay a great deal of attention.
I own three of Moore's paintings, and they're awesome, IMHO.

But is there a larger issue?

Many of you are very well-connected with the University and the football program.

Is there a sense that folks should not be making money from paintings or books?

And this part is personal, too, because I myself have considered writing a book.

Keith Dunnavant started the thread why would you think someone has something against him? As far as Moore is concerned I appreciate his work and enjoy it I own several myself.

There's a post on page 1 where someone says, "Never Again receiving another dime from this author."

It seemed like "author" was a reference to Dunnavant, but evidently not.

For all of you who believe Moore should have had to pay UA more than a lic. fee, you need to go to your photo albums, rip up all photos you've taken at the football/basketball/baseball/lacrosse games. You have no more right to own them than Moore does of making those paintings.

Before you say "but we haven't sold the photos", just because he makes the prints doesn't mean he will sell a single one. Many people pay very good money for photographic art.

Not even sure he should have had to pay the lic. fee.

As opposd to you being butt-hurt over some folks having an opinion that differs from yours?

I read here way more than I post and I have noticed a sharp decrease in tolerance, not only in this thread but on the football board in general. Maybe the holidays have most folks stressed or something, but its good to remember that we all read and post here for the same reason.

Regarding the Daniel Moore drama, it is pretty simple for me. He is an artist. I enjoy his work. His work benefited the University as well as him self. The fight over what is "fair" can be left up to the greedy lawyers. (they benefited as well)

Let me say again...I like his work. Roll Tide.
