The first refrigerated biscuit dough offered “out of the can” and in a convenient place-and-bake form. Packaged two biscuits to a pack wrapped in plastic to be baked in conventional or toaster oven. Geared towards smaller families or individuals, the biscuits come in a cardboard box with a total of ten biscuits. Now you can bake just two biscuits and refrigerate the rest. Actually I think you can bake just one if you really wanted to.

The biscuits cook at 350 for 14-17 minutes in conventional ovens, or about 12 min in a toaster oven. They come in two varieties, two varieties, Buttermilk and Butter Tastin. Suggested retail is $2.99. I bought them for $2.79 and baked two of the Butter Tastin' this morning. They are regular canned biscuit fare, not all that bad. They were flaky, passed my taste test and would buy again. Actually I have already bought 3 boxes as the grocery was out of the microwave biscuits I have been buying. :)

I should mention the size of the biscuit, they cook up about the size of a Grands biscuit, maybe a tad smaller.

Haven't seen those yet. They must be selling the heck out of those microwave biscuits though, Publix and Wal-Mart regularly run out of them. Seems like if an item is flying off the shelf, it would occur to them to stock more and therefore, sell more.

One would think, but also the fact the sell out regularly is a selling point for those who don't try em or buy em to think "Hey those sell out often maybe they're just that good and I need to buy a bag" there's pros and cons to marketing food.

In my last four trips to the store I have only found one bag of the microwave biscuits. I stumbled on these by pure luck. The only downside is it takes four times as long to cook them as the microwave ones. But, if I put them on first then do the rest of my breakfast they are all done about the same time.

I don't care for the microwave version, but I do buy the "oven cooked" bag -- my kids love them.

I like just about any ready made biscuit since I seem to be severely biscuit challenged. I can't even make biscuits from bisquick. Same for pie dough. I'm glad they started packaging them in bags or packs where you can bake one or two at a time.

Hip-Hip Hooray! That's exactly my thoughts also especially now that they have it all on automation with the barcodes. Looks like they would have the number that they have in stock and when they sell the last one they would reorder. Lowe's is the best place to do this that I know of, they can tell you how many they have in stock.

Walmart and other places say they don't order anymore that they just get what comes in on the truck. If this is so that is very strange.

Biscuit Recipe for "Biscuit Challenged"

I was "biscuit-challenged" as well. My mother's biscuits could severely damage the interior walls if thrown in anger. :eek2:
Here'e one I found that works every time. Each batch makes about 12 with a regular-sized biscuit cutter.

My Biscuits

3 1/2 cups self-rising flour
1/2 cup butter
1 1/3 cups milk

Preheat oven to 450 degrees. Cut butter into flour. Add milk, stirring with a fork until dough holds together. Knead, cut and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes.

I bet you a pound of bacon and a dozen eggs I can screw it up. :)
