As much as I hate the team, and more often then not their fans. I have really respected them today. I have seen Auburn flags waving from car windows, homes and I've seen people decked out in Auburn gear from head to toe. Despite the 1-2 record, they are fully supporting their team.

They may be sucking it up this year, but it's still good to see people that support their team that much, even if they are completely senile and misguided.

I started out the day saying to myself don't even mention Auburns game to any barners you see today... I was all set first one I see hadn't even said a word he holds up 5...........................I mean didn't look at him funny, didn't smirk, no winks... just holding up 5..... so I says what are you talking about the amount of turnovers that lost you the game?

I'm a bad bad person.

Remember seeing all of those old news reels with the German people blindly give the salute and "Heil Hitler" while looking like they were in a trance? Kinda reminds me of that.

So they haven't put the shirts, flags, and stickers back in the drawers or closets just yet. They have been REAL quiet though. The Cotton Bowl Curse is slowly taking its toll.

I wish I could give them that much credit. Here in the Birmingham metro area, an Aubie hotbed, I haven't seen a flag or anything. i did see one couple wearing their Auburn t-shirts yesterday, but that's because they didn't have anything else.

Nope, all quiet here in the Magic City. And I can't imagine why. :D

It was so wonderful to drive to work again in the ham this morning and not see any barner crap except the occasional bumper sticker or license plate. Also have a co-worker who had to drive through wonderful Lee county this morning and took pictures of a travel trailer with AU propaganda on it parked in the front yard with a for sale sign on it, priceless!!!! Hopefully can post some of those pictures once I get them....

I thought it was funny when I got to work and saw about two AU hats the entire time, instead of 202 like a couple weeks ago.

On the other hand, Alabama hats have seen an increase though I remember who had them last year and who didn't.:toetap05:

After the Monday morning meeting a young aubie came over and put his hand up to indicate five. I look up at Woodchuck (thats what we call him) and said, I am sorry to see you have thrown in the towel. He goes uhhhh. The towel? I respond - You just indicated awbun expects to lose five more games. RIGHT! He says nothing with that deer in the headlights look. All the Supervisors are looking on with great attention. I said four more loses and you guys can go to the other hand! 5 - 7 Now that is more like it, you need to keep thinking Positive there Woodchuck.

Young and dumb is a bad combination. Yes his nickname is woodchuck. 34 year old man called Woodchuck? Sad isn't it.
