New Tide Pride openings

  • Hi Guest, we are working on updating the site servers and software. We're also 'forcing' everyone to read and agree to our site privacy policy and terms of service. There are no significant changes to either of these but the terms page does clarify a few things that are mostly in the legalese. You can just click the checkbox for both and continue using the site as usual! We'll update you more on the site upgrades VERY soon! THANK YOU AS ALWAYS for supporting the site and being an active participant!

Wait, so on your initial form to join Tide Pride there was an option to upgrade to Bama or Touchdown? Did anyone else who was in the first two rounds of invites get that option?
Yes, at the bottom of the new member form there were two boxes...one for Bama club and one for touchdown...with "In the event there should happen to be an opening, would you be interested?" lingo. I checked both just in case and wound up having my pick of the two. I couldn't believe anyone would have dropped their seats this season, but apparently a few folks did...proof that anything can happen:eek:

My CC location used to be BDS Only TD Club, when TP got rid of BDS Only, shortly after that, they restructured the levels. I got a letter in the mail telling me if I want to continue being in TD Club, then my donation was going up or if I want to remain in my seats, I would be bumped down to CC, coming from NJ and only going to a couple of games, I opted for the CC level and my donaton decreased.

I wouldn't be a bit surprised if my new Bama club U4s are eventually changed to Touchdown and the Bama club moved out into what is currently the first couple of Century Club sections.

I have been in the Touchdown club since 1999. To me, it hits the "sweet spot" between the too-expensive scholarship seats and the lower levels where your seats aren't as good.

My seats are in lower level, West stands. We have been sitting with the same people for 10 years now and we love where we sit. Even if we were offered the option to upgrade, we would not.
We've been sitting in the lower level East stands since 1995 (30 yd line, Touchdown Club)...I couldn't agree with you more. We were just offered the opportunity to move to the South Zone ($2,000 per seat), and we're turning that offer down...terrible seats in my opinion regardless of the amenities...I'm in the stadium to watch the game.

Edit: Our current seats are aisle seats...sweet.

First of all... congrats to BamaJeff for getting in after a relatively short three year wait! I had sent an email stating my appreciation for getting the Century Club seating this year and mentioned that I'd like to advance into a higher club at some point in the future. I received a call offering the Bama or Touchdown upgrade and opted for the Touchdown seating on the grounds thats this year's offer would most likely be the best opportunity. I "requested" aisle seating under the overhang, and it appears that they've been able to come through for me... U4HH, row 29, seats 1 & 2!!! Giddy is an understatement! RTR!!!

A bit off-topic perhaps... but I confess to pangs of jealousy that you folks live within driving distance of Tuscaloosa and can seriously entertain thoughts of season tickets.

Gotta' avoid this thread in the future. ;)

Hey - I have season tickets too! To Duke!! Bought 'em so my wife and I can attend the Bama-Duke game. Tickets for the season at Duke cost less than one Bama home-game ticket.

Wish I went to Tuscaloosa for college
They actually offered either amazingly. I went with Bama. Touchdown was VERY tempting, but I want to see where they put me in a Bama section first. If i'm on the isle six feet from the Touchdown section next door, it will have been a good wager. If i'm in the top row on the other side of the Bama section, i'll start beggin for another upgrade next year:biggrin2:

Either way, i'm giddy as a kid in a candy store though...RTR!
I got in Tide Pride last summer, and they offered me either Century Club or Bama. They gave me a few seating options for both of them, and I chose seats on Century Club U-FF, 5 rows up and they are aisle seats right next to Bama Club on my right. Right around on 40yd line and I saved myself extra $260 in Tide Pride donations considering $130 donation per ticket with Century and $260 per ticket if in Bama Club.

I made those same requests for Bama Club, but I haven't heard anything on seat numbers yet. Did you call or have they already sent you something? Congrats!, btw;)

I did call yesterday on a related topic... she checked and the info was there on my account. I was in on the TP seat thing in Feb. and that may have helped. I was previously told that it would be sometime in June or July before seat assignments would most likely be finalized.

However, I did learn that you'll have to contact them regarding the seat assignments if you want to know before tickets are shipped in August. They don't initiate contact for that information only, so I'm told.

If you look at the U4 upper deck seating chart, I am in U4, LL, which used to be Touchdown Club a few years ago, now Century Club and to my right a few sections I believe is Extra Point Club. I hope they don't start tinkering and make where my seats are in LL up to Bama Club and jack up my donation, otherwise I will be sitting in the corner in the visitor section above the visiting band. Then there were those years when I was the Touchdown Club and directly accross from me in the chair backs on the east side were a club level below Touchdown

Congrats to all who made it in this year!

I too was lucky this year, I've been a Century Club member sitting in U4-EE for 3 years and got the great opportunity this year to move to the West Upper Deck in U3-D Row 8 aisle seats! Can't wait to enjoy some more shade and chairback!

I'm one of those 16,000. Here's hoping my number comes up before I'm too old to enjoy Bama games... (in other words, before I die...)

Congratulations, BTW.
You can still enjoy the games once you die. On second thought, I guess it depends on whether you're watching them looking down or looking up

Patience, my good man! All good things will come in due time : ) You'll most likely be very pleased with your assignment... the two Bama sections are good seats! RTR!

Finally, after several calls over the past month, I was able to obtain my seat assignments, 27 rows up in U4-BB. 2:30 kickoffs will fry that east upperdeck but better there than my couch! RTR

We got on the waiting list the week Saban was hired and I got the magic call this morning. Century Club in QQ in the east upper deck. Certainly not my first choice of seats but needless to say, I am pumped! What a great home schedule to get in. RTR!

Hey Neighbor!! After 3.5 years I got "THE CALL" today too!!! :eek2: There should be a Daniel Moore painting for this. lol The only thing that could be better is winning the lottery. We'll be seeing you there. We wanted 6 tickets, but no luck. Will have to work our way up or down actually to the lower level. I could care less at this point, we're IN!! So hang in there to everyone on the list. Your time WILL come.

Just received an email to join South Endzone Suite. Wish I could afford to do this, but guess I'll have to hold out for the next offer.
