No one really should be surprised at the 6-0 start Bama has. With what came back on offense and the new players on defense playing well this was called by me before the season started.

I love Bama with all my heart and I love our players and coaches and cheerleaders and band members and professors and everything about the University.

I'm surprised we're 6-0. Pleasantly surprised but surprised none the less.

Good call on your part though.

Defense has played above-and-beyond expectations. Based on those expectations, 6-0 was VERY optimistic.

I'm definitely surprised, but that doesn't make me any less of a fan than anyone else. I definitely thought it was possible that we could be 6-0, but the Clemson and UGA games were toss-ups IMO. I'm glad that I was a bit wrong in the sense that those two games were not toss-ups at all. Clemson and UGA would've been the key to getting to 6-0, b/c I felt that we had the talent and coaching necessary to win the other games.

Part of the problem is that more and more, preseason rankings are becoming more meaningless. You still have to line up and play, and see what happens. I'm sure no one in the country that USC would have 1 loss right now, or that UF would've lost to Ole Miss by now. But it did happen, hopefully our guys won't fall into that kind of a trap game where we lose that game instead of winning it (a la UK or Tulane).

The way we've played has surprised me more than the record. We've dominated most of our opponents, and that's not something I was anticipating on seeing.

I'm suprised. I realistically thought we would be 4-2 or 5-1 at this time. Too me though, it's not as suprising that we're 6-0, as it is in how we got to be 6-0. Our two toughest opponents up to this point were supposed to be Clemson and Georgia. If you would have told me before the season that we would manhandle them like we did, I would have recommended you for counseling. We didn't just beat Clemson and UGA, we throttled them. Hopefully, we can repeat that type of performance the remainder of the year.

a bold statement, considering its your first post:p_eyes: no flame intended, but this is an intelligent football board, you will need a little more than that with us. wait until the second sunday in may, I will tell you who wil win the kentucky derby!

other than that, welcome aboard, look forward to your contribution!

Well, I am surprised. Very happy about it, but surprised. I predicted we would be either 7-5 or 8-4 this season. And a couple of those losses would be to Clemson and Georgia. We could still end up 7-5 or 8-4, but we could also end up 11-1 or 12-0. All I want at this point is to beat Ole Miss next weekend.

I have to admit, I am not surprised. I wouldn't have admitted before the season that I expected something like this tho, lol. My Husband is a fan who looks at the game with all the stats in mind... he's studied the condition of our players, the opponets etc. Me... I go with my gut and my heart.

Course, since I was probably 10 years old, I've expected Alabama to win a National Championship every year! We are, afterall, By Golly ALABAMA!

Yeah, I was raised by an Alum. lol Seeing what CNS is doing with the team would have made him very happy!

I really didn't know what to expect except to see our team be a little bit tougher, which they definitely are that and more. I am surprised though that Bama is sitting 6-0 with a great possibility to keep it going. Knock on wood.

i'm more of an observer than a poster, but am a die hard fan and a '95 grad, so not new to the fan base. therefore, it being an early post for you doesn't matter to me. But for my money, if you'd of offered me 5-1 at this point, sadly, I would have accepted that without hestitation.

Thank goodness CNS is in charge and not me.
