This is going to be one of those games that reverberate through November. I think it's a shootout because Arkansas can't stop Alabama, but nobody can stop Mallett.

I could be wrong, spectacularly. But I think this is where someone finally sticks it to the national champs. Well, you know. As much as something like 38-35 could be considered sticking it.

This is where Mallett launches it. Where he launches about 40 passes to launch a legitimate Heisman campaign.

“We are going to be aggressive on offense this year,” Petrino said last Saturday, in the wake of a last-minute 31-24 win over Georgia, capped by a Mallett touchdown pass.

It has gotten to a ridiculous point about Mallett. Can we play football already? I truly believe that our D is going to "show up"...and this game could get ugly quick if they do. Can you imagine the atmosphere...all the hype...the excitement by them...ALL DRAINED if we get a pick 6 early on, or a sack/fumble taken to the house. These are the kinds of games in which that "bubble of excitement" can be popped...and it starts an avalanche. I'm just sayin'. I have a feelin'. I'm entitled to that...right? R T R!!!!

It seems the only way to really stop him is to put a lot of pressure on him, which we did last year. We were about the only team to truly slow him down/stop him last season. I just hope that our defense can put a lot on him this year as well.

i'm beginning to grow bored with the funny, yet childish, defensive sarcasm shown by several arky posters over the last few days.

First, he was speaking of the phrase "nobody can stop Ryan Mallett". That is ridiculous. I can't name one college football player I've ever seen who was unstoppable. Everybody has bad games, and everybody gets shut down sooner or later.

Second, You are on an Alabama board. Homerism is unavoidable. Just as I don't go to an Arkansas board and reprimand everyone who says Mallett will have 597,000 yards and 26 touchdowns by the 3rd quarter.... you should not call out every Bama fan who says he wont.

Some writer will finally get it right if and when Bama gets beat. They will beat their chest but come Monday you will not see an article mentioning they picked the Hogs to win.

I see the Tide winning and winning big. Even if the defense is not to where it was last year; Bama's offense will light the scoreboard up and all this talk about Mallet is moot.

Ok lets back it up a minute. If you look at any of my other posts you will see that I agree with the ridiculousness of some Mallett articles going around.
Just poking a little fun at all the seriousness and sensitivity out there. Not trying to overstep my bounds here. I realize where I'm at and I appreciate the hospitality. No offense intended.
