Let’s use this thread to discuss any active non-Bama games. We will build out a separate SEC thread at the start of conference season. For now @Bazza you can use this one.

RxBenefits Battleground 2k25

On November 16, 2025, Auburn and Houston will face off at Birmingham’s Legacy Arena in a highly anticipated neutral-site rematch. Auburn, fresh off a Final Four appearance in the 2025 NCAA Tournament, where they fell to eventual champion Florida, aims to build on their success. Houston, the 2025 national runner-up, seeks redemption after a narrow 65–63 loss to Florida in the championship game. This matchup not only rekindles a budding rivalry but also features two elite programs poised for another deep postseason run.

Two games today.

#1 Houston at #22 Auburn - just underway

Then at 8:30pm Miami at #10 Florida, game played in Jacksonville

Both games on ESPN!

You got your wish.....final score 73-72 in a tight one! I would have driven to the basket and either drawn the foul or made the basket - or both. Plenty of time on the clock. Oh well....that's the game of basketball!

Not a big fan of Houston, myself, but I understand why there are those who would pull for them today.

Lots of thuggary in the Winthrop @ Arky game. 4 players ejected. Nick Pringle goes nuts on Winthrop center with 11 sec left. Winthrop players should have pummeled Pringle IMHO. Weak response.

Winthrop allowed hawgs to score final 6 points and should have won game if they knew how to finish.

Winthrop (2-3) 83
#21 Arky (4-1) 84

I mean the Winthrop kid just as guilty and looks like he pulled Pringle so both just as guilty. Don’t think either went nuts. Was expecting a fight based on your description lol.

Agree.

The Winthrop player should have been kicked out of the game Maybe suspended a few games. Looked to me he was trying to take Pringle's head off!

Yeah I don’t see Pringle doing anything wrong here. Dude all up around his head getting the ball out of the basket and slung him to the ground.

Really late game for us last night in the Jimmy V Classic at MSG vs. #5 UConn - 9:30pm tip!

Down by 3 with 9 seconds left in the game we get a 5 second violation trying to get the ball in.

Of course we'll never know what would have happened if we'd gotten the ball in - but to lose the game like that? Just sad, disappointing, and frustrating.......

The SEC seems way down compared to last year. I know last year was a historic year for the conference but we are hardly winning any marquee matchups this year. I noticed we are down to 8 bids in the NCAA tournament in Lunardi's current projections; that is down from 14 last year and I think that's where he had us at to start this year. That means there is going to be less margin for error in making the tournament field at the end of the regular season because you won't be able to ride the conference strength coattails. Teams better win games!

I feel like in-bounding the ball is like special teams for football. A great team will specialize in making it smooth for their team and a nightmare for their opponents. I watched Kentucky in Coleman back in 1994 repeatedly have their players half a foot out of bounds interfering with the inbound passes of Alabama and the refs aggravatingly never called a delay of game or technical foul.
