Exactly why SOS should be a major criteria in selections...

Telling an 11-1 team that they can't make it in because they beat NOBODY, would send a huge message!
It's also rather curious that the playoff was expanded at least in part to allow more opportunities for lesser schools to have a shot at inclusion, but in doing so they also paved the way for arguably the most privileged program of all time to have a revolving door to a bid.

ND being allowed to write it's own rules has been wrong for so long, and it needs to be put to an end.

I couldn't care less about the subway alums and TD Jesus and all that baloney...join a power conference or join the Ivy League.

If they go to strength of schedule then ND is toast any way. They only beat GA because of the injury to Their QB … Indy had a great year but folded to anyone ranked in top ten, PSU I will just say Franklin and leave it at that. ND should be made to play in a conference period if they want to be considered for the playoffs. They are being treated like royalty and haven’t won anything of note in almost thirty years.

Speaking only for myself, I never said they aren’t a decent team.

My complaint (never mind the fact that a century ago they tried to join a conference…back then many opposed the forward pass as well…times change) stands.

They always get favorable treatment and in the current landscape they should have to join a conference or go away.
I will say this. If the playoff was absolutely closed to any team not in a conference, they would find one to join.
