I imagine these are just a way to connect history to the present President. I would bet that 1: they will be removed once Obama is no longer the president and 2: every President hence forth will do the same thing. It is like editing a Wikipedia article.

I mean guys, seriously? Non-story.

I could really care less about the situation. There are far more important things we should be dwelling on as a country.

But at the very least, even you two can admit it's a bit narcissistic & egotistical, no?

If he was the one directing it, sure. I just don't think he probably even knows about it. It is probably some operator of the whitehouse.gov site and/or an Obama idealist.

It takes a special breed to be the POTUS. The line between confidence and narcissism is grey. I suppose it depends on which side of the aisle you are looking from.

if you are interested in convincing yourself that the president (or any president or major public figure) is narcissistic and egotistical, its pretty easy to do. i couldn't care less.

I don't remember a president on either side ever being as egotistical as Obama. Maybe Nixon thought he was more untouchable.. maybe. But Obama loves himself some Obama, in the same way Tim Brando loves himself some Tim Brando. It's always been this way.

To be fair a lot of presidents think their untouchable, at least the last few we've had. Bush pandered for the religious vote and didn't really care what happened after he made it a second term. He knew as long as he told everyone how much he loved God, he was gonna coast.

Clinton was the same way, he thought there was no way on earth he'd get busted for "Gettin' the Chewins'" in the Oval Office. (High School slang, thanks Project Pat.) It blew his mind when the possibility of impeachment was brought up.

The thing that really drives me crazy about you guys, and there are plenty of you on both sides, is that you think you're absolutely, 100%, irrefutably correct on every single political view you have. There is no give with you guys.

thought this line from the comment section was pretty funny

"God saw all that he had made, and it was very good. And there was evening and there was morning-the sixth day. Thus the heavens and the earth were completed in all their vast array. n nBy the seventh day God had finished the work he had been doing; so on the seventh day he rested. And God blessed the seventh day and made it holy, because on it he rested from all the work of creating that he had done. President Obama saw this and said "I was totally going to do it in 5 days and get in two days of golf, but whatever."

Maybe it's just more evident now with cameras and microphones everywhere. We're also in the age of celebrity worship.

Guys like LBJ would have been burned at the stake. He nicknamed his penis "Jumbo," and had a crazy amount of mistresses. That wouldn't fly today.

next we'll be informed....

He was the best natural golfer in history

In 1994, it was reported by Washington media outlets that Barrack Obama shot 38 under par on a regulation 18-hole golf course — including 5 holes in one! That score is 25 shots better than the best round in history, and is made even more amazing by the fact that it was his first time playing the sport. It’s said Barrack Obama would routinely sink 3 or 4 holes in one per round of golf.....

i think we finally know who wrote this essay that circulated in email forwards for several years.....it was either Obama... or "the most interesting man alive" from the commercials...

IN ORDER FOR THE ADMISSION STAFF OF OUR COLLEGE TO GET TO KNOW YOU, WE ASK THAT YOU ANSWER THE FOLLOWING QUESTION: ARE THERE ANY SIGNIFICANT EXPERIENCES YOU HAVE HAD, OR ACCOMPLISHMENTS YOU HAVE REALIZED, THAT HAVE HELPED TO DEFINE YOU AS A PERSON?
I am a dynamic figure, often seen scaling walls and crushing ice. I have been known to remodel train stations on my lunch breaks, making them more efficient in the area of heat retention. I translate ethnic slurs for Cuban refugees. I write award-winning operas. I manage time efficiently.
Occasionally, I tread water for three days in a row. I woo women with my sensuous and godlike trombone playing. I can pilot bicycles up severe inclines with unflagging speed, and I cook Thirty-Minute Brownies in twenty minutes. I am an expert in stucco, a veteran in love, and an outlaw in Peru.
Using only a hoe and a large glass of water, I once single-handedly defended a small village in the Amazon Basin from a horde of ferocious army ants. I play bluegrass cello, I was scouted by the Mets, I am the subject of numerous documentaries. When I'm bored, I build large suspension bridges in my yard. I enjoy urban hang gliding. On Wednesdays, after school, I repair electrical appliances free of charge.
I am an abstract artist, a concrete analyst, and a ruthless bookie. Critics worldwide swoon over my original line of corduroy evening-wear. I don't perspire. I am a private citizen, yet I receive fan mail. I have been caller number nine and have won the weekend passes. Last summer I toured New Jersey with a traveling centrifugal-force demonstration. I bat .400.
My deft floral arrangements have earned me fame in international botany circles. Children trust me.
I can hurl tennis rackets at small moving objects with deadly accuracy. I once read Paradise Lost, Moby Dick, and David Copperfield in one day and still had time to refurbish an entire dining room that evening. I know the exact location of every food in the supermarket. I have performed several covert operations with the CIA. I sleep once a week; and when I do sleep, I sleep in a chair. While on vacation in Canada, I successfully negotiated with a group of terrorists who had seized a small bakery. The laws of physics do not apply to me.
I balance, I weave, I dodge, I frolic, and my bills are all paid. On weekends, to let off steam, I participate in full-contact origami. Years ago I discovered the meaning of life but forgot to write it down. I have made extraordinary four course meals using only a toaster oven.
I breed prize-winning clams. I have won bullfights in San Juan, cliff-diving competitions in Sri Lanka, and spelling bees at the Kremlin. I have played Hamlet, I have performed open-heart surgery, and I have spoken with Elvis.
But I have not yet gone to college.

I think I actually give quite a lot relative to many other posters. I was going to agree with you until that last point. ;)

I have to agree. Being an extreme narcissist is part of the job description these days, since we select Presidents like elections were beauty contests, generally devoid of substance.

During my days living in the cesspool on the Potomac, I met a limo driver who had been at LBJ's inaugural ball.
Out on the dance floor, the newly-inaugurated President grabbed some young lady's backside. She let out a scream, jumped half way to the ceiling and turned around to confront her groper. LBJ stood his ground and scolded her, saying, "Young lady, never scream at the President."
What a guy.

Poor fella. Did that at prom. The only jumping the girl did was jumping towards me.

I can't wait to vote against "The One" in November!
I have never done this in the past and hope i will never feel like i should do it again, but I would vote for Big Bird over Obama.... I do not care who the GOP puts up to run against him, they will get my vote.....

(I sincerely hope I do not have to eat those words in November)
