Now, that is accurate. But if I remember correctly.. analyst break down game films. See a quote from 2017:

Here's how I look at it. Golding- 1st, 2nd down plays...

Pruitt works on 3rd and 4th down plays... Pruitt gives it to Golding and tell him to "Stick to the play I drew up for you... it will work. "
True, but calling blitzes is kinda an art. What might have been the right call looking at film might not be the right call during the game, especially if the opponent notices tendencies.

During the game, specific blitzes are called as much based on feel as the specific situation.

Yes, but if I recall again, they can be on sideline, just can't coach the players. If pruitt and Golding on sideline communicating with each other? I'm just asking?

But you're right it's an art... some people has knack for calling plays. Some just don't.

I know that analysts can be on the sidelines. I am less sure about how directly they can be involved in play calling. That might be a loop hole worth exploring

Nick Saban is in the twilight of his career... instead of great recruiters and lousy position coaches like we have as of late... he needs to get great position coaches and discipline teachers... Player development needs to be more important now... BAMA Will sell it self with NIL... another selling point will be great player development and Discipline at Alabama which has fallen off in the past few years....Our main Achilles' heel has been poor second and third string player development and penalties...THE NEXT MAN up has never been ready in the big games when people get hurt!
2nd and 26...😁
Edit: I know...Jalen didn't get hurt...but Tua sure stepped up!!!

See or last National Championship game when none of our receivers can't catch the ball and a clothes basket... as well as all year this year..

Saban is ok... but he himself has alluded to the fact that the coaches are not developing the players as they should and teaching discipline to the players..Due to the fact, that it is the twilight of his coaching career I hope he gets better Coaches whether they recruit well or not... but Saban has also alluded to the fact that he is going after players with much better attitudes in the recruiting process... so maybe the ship will write itself..

The DC at Alabama shouldn’t NEED an analyst to hold his hand in game and help him call the game.

Just the fact that this is even being discussed tells you how much of a problem Golding is right now.

He HAS to go if we are going to get better on Defense.

He may know the theory behind the X’s and O’s but he is CLUELESS about how to successfully apply it.

Guys, Pruitt wouldn't have a huge impact as an analyst. Where he excels is in game play calls and adjustments. He is almost impossible to predict because he sends players from everywhere to pressure the QB, from every alignment. And analysts cannot be involved in play calls during games.

He might have some limited value in some other capacity, but it would not come close to having him on the sideline
I would be in favor of cutting power to Gol*ings headset, during games, a turning on Pruitt’s! Let Gol*ing think he’s calling the plays, while he’s talking to dead air…. Not sure he’d notice the difference. 😁😂🤣😂

This dream of having Pruit as an analyst working with Gol*ing is a PIPE DREAM IMO.

Exactly zero knowledge of the situation, but I just don't think CNS will touch CJP with a 10 foot pole right now and I can't imagine Gol*ing agreeing to hand holding with an analyst who used to be the DC.

If it warrants a situation like that, Gol*ing should be shown the door and CNS should be the one opening it and saying "don't let the door hit ya, where the good Lord split ya."
