Not really. Dodd is just another guy who gets an internet rumor and pushes it out without any real evidence to support it. The credible people in the media have already been reporting it for weeks now and have been far less sure Pruitt is the guy at DC.

To give you an idea… Low has pretty much been very skeptical on Pruitt’s return as DC but not dismissing it. But has pretty much signaled today that Grubb is probably the guy in the front of the OC job line right now.

There is not a bigger story in College football right now than “who will be Alabama’s OC and DC”. With that comes a lot of click bait and a lot of nonsense rumors. Dodd and Stephen Smith are the kings of both.
Saban and Low are pretty close, Coach wants something out he let's Low know about it so it gets out there with out him saying it

Certainly doesn't seem implausible to me that CNS began pursuing Grubb several months ago knowing BOB was not going to remain. I know that folks want to keep their talent but why would Washington give the man two raises in two months if they didn't suspect he was on a key watch list. The list of schools capable of handing out these kinds of dollars isn't real long and our success in the past few years has blessed us to be among them. Spit balling but...

CNS would have been too focused on finishing the 2022 season to make a serious push back then.

Grubb got his 2nd raise because Texas 5&7 tried to lure him away around Christmas which makes sense because their season was over.

Credit to CNS for making a play for the guy now though.

Well as I said. Anyone taking a bet with Hoops is a fool. Because he is going to change it to “ well it changed a few hours ago” or something similar to act like he is an insider. Y’all ought to ask him how his “sources” got it so wrong about one of our softball girls winding up in Stillwater at one of the country’s premier softball programs like most of us with actual sources predicted she was, but him being the guy who said we were so wrong because his sources were so sure that she was going to Tampa Florida until the very last hour before she transferred. Ace pitchers in softball don’t go to Mickey Mouse G5 leagues for their final years of eligibility.
My sources said all his sources are liars.

(Note: I don't have any actual sources - but I don't have to pretend I do, either).

Grubbs numbers and offensive improvements year over year are impressive. I’m not scores about the possibilities.

IMHO, Grubb comes to Tuscaloosa for the exact same money if Coach wants him. Not another place on the planet that can help his resume like the Bama job working for Saban.
That’s a fact, Jack. He is a young coach, but not that young. If he wants to be a relatively young HC, OC at Bama under Nick will fast track that.
What I like about him, he has 5 years as an O line coach. If the Line isn't performing, he may know how to fix it. At least call plays that takes advantage of what the line does well.

$2M? What would it take for Bama to land Grubb? I'm sure the cost of living is far higher in Seattle. But I would think he'd want some bump up to come to T-Town. Does Alabama have a salary cap on coordinators, or what?

Sounds like he'd be a great hire.
He'd take the same money ($2 mil) in a heartbeat to come to T- Town and work with this roster. In 2 years he might get an Oregon or UCLA head coaching job and he knows it.

"Viable Candidate," per the mockingbird media. Bolony I say.

Im kinda surprised Hoops ain’t saying it’s grantham right now with the developments from people who have sources were speculating this morning.

Right now the out there media types are just as restless as the fans and are looking for any C tier insider who saw Jeremy Pruitt at McDonalds or Grantham passing the Joe and are jumping to conclusions or just giving the impatient fans something to chew on.
