I think Robert Downey Jr. could pull it off. Plus with the right amount of makeup he can look like Saban. Sinise has the intensity but looks nothing like Saban and has the wrong facial structure to ever be made up to look like Saban. Pacino 20 years ago could do it but not now.

As for the supporting players, Harry Dean Stanton played a role in "The Bear" (Frank Thomas?) and would be a good choice to play current-day Mal. Fred Thompson wouldn't be terrible in that role, either.

Coach Saban- He'd have to work on the dramatics but he could play young and older---Ben Stiller (They actually favor a bit)

Mal Moore- Tom Hanks- Gray his hair and he could nail it...

Kirby Smart- Matt Damon

Coach Saban has a quiet intensity about him, and right now, no actor in the world does quiet intensity better than Michael Shannon (Take Shelter, Boardwalk Empire).
