It's not Brain Surgery, Mark.

15 OR for Oklahoma = 17 points
1 OR for Bama = 2 points

It's simple... WAKE YOUR PLAYERS UP

If you don't block out, you come to the bench... Period.

If it is 5 minutes to go in a game, you are losing, and you are not blocking out... you come out of the game. It's early in the season. If you do not do these things now, the players will never *learn*.

It's truly unreal how easy we are to beat.

How about these facts for ya:

OU 21 Samford 0
OU 10 Binghampton 6
OU 17 Belmont 8
OU 16 Tulsa 4
OU 7 Villanova 7
OU 8 Coppin St. 8
OU 23 Southern 11
OU 13 W.V. 4
OU 15 Oral Roberts 9
OU 13 Bama 1

All these stats are courtesy of ESPN. So I guess all these coaches are idiots and dont know how to teach their players how to 'block out'? Fact is OU is one of the best offensive rebounding teams in the nation. We'd be lucky to see a team outrebound OU on the offensive glass this year.

Blocking out and rebounding well is a team thing. All it takes is one or two players letting their guy get by them to kill rebounding. The more experienced teams will rebound better than a young team most of the time. We had 3 freshman and a sophmore or 2 either starting or playing a lot of minutes against a senoir heavy, experienced, talented and well coached team.

They rebounded much better and were on their home court which I believe I heard that they had the second longest non-conference win streak in the nation. But we stayed with them most of the game so alls not lost just yet.

The Birmingham Southern game was scary though. Just hope it was a case of overlooking them. :conf3:

Wow, look at the OU & Villanova game! Then realize Villanova is running a 4 G attack all under 6'4" and you realize why I'm impressed. I'm not sure who the coach is at Villanova but he is doing a great job.
