Well, really, what do you expect? These kids have played their hearts out, only to see crap get kicked into their faces. When you are going to run an ultra-conservative offense, you can't have TD's called back for stupid mistakes. You also can't take it in the bum like we did in the no-call pass interference. It's hard to play hard when you know the game is lost and your heart is broken.

Oh, and for all of Pennington's faults, he is getting the crap kicked out of him tonight. He may even have some busted up ribs or something and he is obviously playing in pain. Give the kid credit for showing this much heart.

Oh God here comes the Tigers favorite cheer. Exactly who is 4th and 5th string though? Those guys are redshirts. It would be dumb to waste one to finish this game if Spencer is healthy next week. I'm not happy about our QB play this second half but let's just get out of this game and see if it's necessary to let one of the redshirts go.

I've never been Pennington's biggest cheerleader, but I can't fault him tonight. He played well in the beginning, and that no-call killed the whole team. He's gotten very little protection, and he's obviously hurt.

Sorry you feel that way. My loyalty is much deeper. I love this group of guys and all the crap they've fought thru. The price of winning is sometimes very, very high. You have to believe. Winning isn't easy esp. when your whole starting backfield is sitting on the bench.

Amen to that one. Shula can still point to immediate playing time for potential recruits, and we get some extra practice for the bowl game. (That's assuming we can still field a team after the injuries.)

Clearly, you have not been watching our team lately. Pennignton is not Brodie, but he is doing everything he can. Until that bogus call, he had been playing very well. If all you are going to do is complain about pennington, go the hell away.

Well guys. The look on Coach Shula's face just a few minutes ago says it all. I know he's disappointed and we had a good gameplan. I know he's going to pick up the pieces and we'll go from here. Just don't lose sight of the fact that we've lost our entire backfield 2 times over. We played hard but it wasn't enough to overcome the refs and LSU.

6 times this year I've watched this team take the field and leave four hours later winners, most of them big wins, and I've been elated. Only four times have I seen a severely hurt and undermined team go out on the field and give their all, for 60 minutes with everything they had. Of course it makes me sad, but I couldn't be prouder.

Yay Alabama, Crimson Tide. RTR!!

I'm tempted to sell my AU tickets, but I can't do that. I have to feel one day the pain of losing and the pain of the way we've lost will be erased by big things.

I don't know that I fully appreciated and reveled in the 1992 season. Well, if a season like that ever comes again I'll enjoy and savor every bit of it. Mainly because I know what it takes to get there and the sacrifices along the way. And I'm just a fan.
