After 2022…. I stopped ever considering hype surrounding defense. Ours and anyone else’s. This is an offensive game with mercenaries so if anyone finds a kink in a defense then it’s going to be a long day no matter how many 5stars or 1st rounders you have on defense.

Maybe we win but I’m seeing a surprisingly large amount of lack of effort on defense. Thats the most concerning part of it.

It's no secret I wasn't happy with Wommack coming back.

I was excited about some of the things I was hearing - especially regarding the staff's feelings - heading into this season.

Now I find myself starting to question the long-term potential of this entire coaching staff.

This second half will likely tell me everything I need to know about what to expect out of DeBoer...

Malzahn’s High School offense is easy to defend. Eye discipline, do your job, control the line of scrimmage.

And stop the inside run. This 3 down linemen defense needs to be changed up.

Defense looks lost, confused and unprepared. Slow to react, poor tackling and I see players taking off plays. This Defense especially on 3rd downs is outright pitiful!
