I vote we never have this group of announcers again ever. Not just this year. Ever. I hope they are all fired tomorrow.

Roll Tide! I will take a 60 point win any time. Unfortunately Mac probably killed his Heisman chances today with a meh game. Even though Fields had a much worse game and Sunshine didn't even play which somehow exempts only him from scrutiny. Last year Tua got hurt and nobody counted his body of work before that. This year Sunshine misses 2 games (now 3) and he is still the talk of the idiots.
An NC and a 1st round draft with big money is better than the Heisman

This felt - for quite a while, early - like it was going to be a sloppy, low-scoring, disappointing win over an overmatched opponent.

Dang...
That's what I thought. But in the second quarter something seemed to click. We started consistently stopping their run game, and the defense seemed to come alive. Maybe it took that long to shake off a little rust from three weeks off.

I thought the defense reverted to the performance against Ole Miss in the first half. RBs and TEs running free over the middle on third downs, and we gave up a bunch of third-and-6+ early.

Fortunately, Mike Stoops isn’t Lane Kiffin, and Terry Wilson isn’t Matt Corrall, and UK’s receivers aren’t at the same level as Ole Miss.

But Mac Jones and Devonta Smith were their usual selves, and it didn’t matter all that much. Defense came around after UK’s bad snap on the FG, and did really well the rest of the way, especially the second half.

Noticed that Tim Smith played most of the game at NT, and was most interested to see that Jaleel Billingsley replaced Major Tennison at TE. Don’t know if Tennison was banged up (he played a couple of plays), or if Billingsley passed him on the depth chart. I’ve thought for some time that he’s the future at the TE position.

Was pleased with McClellan and Williams at RB late. Acknowledging that UK’s D just wanted to go home at that point, they both did well.

Hated to see Bolden go down with what looked like a turned ankle. Will be interesting to see if he’s good to go against Auburn. Kept rooting for Devonta to just fair catch punts....it would have been a shame for him to get hurt returning a stupid punt when we’re up 42-3. Turned out fine, but I was anxious.

On to the boogs.

Was very impressed with McClellan. First time I've seen him this year. He has a smooth, gliding running style.
According to Eli (I have one of those game radios), those were his first carries of the year.

I liked what we saw, but it’s hard to read too much in...by that point in the game, the UK D just wanted out.

Still, something to build on.

True, but I was just comparing him to Williams (who was no slouch either) and thought he did a better job under the same circumstances.
