We looked good offensively. We have some areas for improvement though on defense. Pass rush did not seem to be on point today.

After today's game, there is not alot I can complain about. We still have room for improvement, but overall I think it was our best game of the season. We finished drives early in the game. The game was over at halftime and our reserves played a good portion of the 2nd half.

I'm not ready to take a swallow yet. We're pretty dang good and we'll continue to get better barring injuries. But we played North Texas.

If we do this to Arky then I'll have a 64 oz cup of the Kool Aid.
Who is better? USC lost to Washington, Florida did not impress today and I think we are better than Texas.

I drank a lot of crimson kool aid after the VT game, but swore off of the stuff after FIU. I am still not quite ready to pick it back up. Sure, we are pretty darn good. But I would say that there are 3 teams just in the SEC west that are better than the teams we have played so far. We play the first of those next week.

I agree with Tidebanker....if we beat Arky by three TD's or better, I will be willing to mix up another batch of kool aid...

Great game today. Good to see the new faces. TR is a beast and Star did a good job of managing the game when he was in there.

93 against la Tech. lol Just saw it on yahoo when I was looking at some scores.
I read that article but...I just read another article that said this: "It was the highest-scoring game for Alabama since a 56-7 win over UTEP in 2001." Kind of funny.

I admit I'm not only drinking the cool aid but swimming in it. One things for sure I will never be accused of being a bandwagon fan. If you think there are better teams out there, name them. I would love to here your opinions.

Special teams, a fumble, and 2 missed PATs worry me.

On a positive note, seeing LT nail 3 kickoffs into the endzone was a pluc.

We still have improvements to make to be #1 but we do seem to improve week to week. Arky will be a test. I think we'll win but that will really give a status of how we are as a team.

I'll echo everyone's comments: good game. We dominated a team we should have dominated. ST still worry me with the teeth of the schedule coming. The Hawgs have a good offense and a poor defense.

Nice to see us come out and play at a high level from start to finish, that's something CNS has been harping on. Thought we would have gotten more pressure on the QB than we did, hopefully we don't have a repeat performance against Arky or Mallet could light us up. All in all a fine effort and an improvement from a week ago IMO. Now on to the meat of the schedule. :)

I am not saying we are not the best team in the country. And I really dont think anybody you would find on this board is a bandwagon fan. We are awesome, dont get me wrong. But starting next week, the easy games are over. Our defense is crazy awesome, and GMac continues to impress. But from here on out, one or two mistakes will get us beat. Being ranked third in te counrty will also ensure that the target will be placed firmly on our backs. We will be getting everybody's A game.

We are good, no doubt about it. But there is alot of football left to be played.

“What happened yesterday is history. What happens tomorrow is a mystery. What we do today makes a difference - the precious present moment.”
Cannot quote the man any better then this. So no, I will not drink from the kool aid until it's made. And right now, it's not made. 3 games does not a season make.

Besides I don't want to be the best team in America in September, I want Bama to be the best team in America in January.

Anyone know why PJ Fitzgerald changed numbers? He was number 7 yesterday... not 97. Not a big deal, but I wondered.
That's a question I was wondering about, also. The only idea that comes to mind would be if Lorenzo Washington (also wears 97) was on punt coverage yesterday, and we can't have two people with the same number on the field at once. Anybody know the real reason?

That has to be the reason.
