Few things I'm going to say:

-JPW showed today that he can do very good (not great) things we're using the runnig attack well, so we better hope the running game comes to play against Ut and further that the coaches don't abandon it
-OL looked good in chunks of plays today, but is still way too porous way too often. Give it credit though, it was another big reason for JPW's better performance
-The corners have got to want the ball more. On one OM TD, on that last deep ball (I know, it was overturned), and a few other times, the OM wideouts flat out plucked the ball away from us on some well-defended balls.
-The significance of getting bigtime DB recruits like Mark Barron should be in the mind of all Bama fans after watching the poor but irreplacible play of Marcus carter.
-We cannot shoot ourselves in the foot like this in any other SEC game. The false start on the 5, the tipped interception, the blocked punt, the fumble from inside the 5, etc. would cost us the UT game, for example.

So I am assuming that you are saying that Miss. St & La. Monroe pose no threat. I will give you La. Monroe game but if we do not play well and play a complete game at State that could be a big hurdle.

Six wins gets you bowl eligible, we now have 5, La. Monroe should be a gimme.

I didn't get to watch nothing but the end of the 3rd quarther and the 4th quarter but i wondered why when we interceped the pass and had first and goal at the 5, we didn't put in GC or RU and try to bull our way into the endzone. I also think the fake field goal was a bad call. JMO. But i'm glad for the win. RTR.

I only got to watch the fourth quarter, but one thing I noticed, on Ole Miss' last drive the quarterback had a ton of time. Our D line seemed totally stymied. Like everyone else, though, I'm glad for the win. I hope we put it all together next week for UT. I'm gonna be there. Can't wait!

This bowl eligible term never surfaced in Bama fans vocabulary until Shula arrived. We need to get out of the loser mentality of getting to any bowl is good. Our goals right now should be to win the West. It is still in play for us, I am not saying we are going to do it but it is still attainable. If we win that, we will go to Atlanta and take a shot at our next goal in winning the conference. From there we will be in the BCS and then just look out.

Go back and check the posts buddy. My reply has nothing to do with this whole rant you're going on here. You made reference as to how we were going to be bowl eligible with seemingly two more wins to get (apparently from your standpoint) saying we needed to beat both MSU and La. Monroe. All I did was point out the fact that we only need one more win to become bowl eligible. If you think all I care about is for Bama to become bowl eligible you've got another thing coming friend.

These errors were borderline insanity, in my opinion. Putting faith in a 50%-ish passing game when all we needed to do was RUN - THE - CLOCK. Going for the fake field goal was just awful, as well, but would have made a nice highlight.

It was in the third quarter when the game was still tied at 17 and we were about to likely make it 24-17 had that not happened, it was a pretty big play.

im not a genious or anything but we were holding our own on defense pretty well when we were getting pressure on the QB towards the end. also i think our best running plays were the tailback dives that upchurch was doing, just getting 2 the line and hitting the gap hard. maybe we will be running a lil more of that next week, but we gotta get pressure on the QB, him standing in the pocket all day is killing us. but rtr and ill talk with u guys next week after we beat the vols by "2 td's." If we had people who could get pressure on the QB, they would be playing. We have a total of 5 people we trust to play 3 defensive line spots. At the OLB spots, it isn't any better.

I've tried explaining this to several people, even at ballgames and have been called a "nitwit" because of it. We just have to stay positive, support the boys that are giving it their all, and CNS will recruits us out of this hole.
