One thing for sure, no matter how far we go in the Playoffs this year the people that don't like DeBoer or Grubb/both will not be satisfied. And everyone has an answer for our issues running the ball. Just win Baby!
I'm little confused by this statement. You're making it sound like he's an issue in the locker room. Everything I'm seeing is that players and coaches love him and I understand he is seeing sport psychologist to deal with his mindset and his issues. I don't see nothing that suggests that he is not giving 100 percent effort on the field. The issues with him right now is this:
1. The way he catches the ball. He's catching the ball with his body instead of his hands. On that play where the ball went through his shoulder, He should've caught that ball with his hand, but he didn't.
2. I think his concussion messed him up and affected his confidence. There is no easy solution to get him to catch the ball. He just need to work through it, and he probably won't until the season is over. One thing I know is that He's capable, and he's going to find a way.
Couldn’t happen to a nicer fan base. And btw Bryce Young and the Carolina Panthers beat Baker Mayfield and the Tampa Bay Buccaneers today (sorry to Buc fans here, but still)Worth the view!
I watched the sky cast Verison and I don't see nothing that's standing out.My unsolicited advice would be to watch closer and especially when other players have the ball.
I’m hard pressed to think of a Bama WR who gave less effort blocking for his teammates.
He does not want to make contact with an opposing player and is a liability on the field and has a negative affect on the team.
For over $2 Mil a season I’d rather him fix things somewhere else.
Who?Kalen Beboer is now 20-5 vs ranked teams and 4-0 vs top 10 teams on the road
The guy that replaced Nick SabinWho?
Thank you for introducing me to Scott Sterlings.Actual video of Ty after the SECCG
But, but, but, but.....Kalen Deboer is now 20-5 vs ranked teams and 4-0 vs top 10 teams on the road
I love the discussion about Wommack (who needs more credit, IMO) switching to more pressure and man to man!!!
It was obvious that when we started bringing everyone to the LOS it freaked out Mateer and that's when we started taking over the game defensively.
OU's TD score in the second half came when we went back to less pressure and zone, IIRC.
Of course, Indy will be taking notes and prepared for some of this, but it seems like the key is mixing these looks by sometimes bringing pressure while switching to man and sometimes showing pressure but dropping into zone.
Essentially, keep the IU QB guessing about what's coming.
They are good enough to get theirs in this game, but I'm very confident that our D can keep a lid on this game and if our O can generate their share of points we've got a great chance to upset #1 Indiana!
And, if the D creates a NOT, I think we are undefeated in those games with Wommack's D!!!

He's still the best player on the team with the ball in his hands and still our 2nd leading WR and averaging the most yards per catch on the team. He's too talented to give up on. Hopefully in the offseason he can get whatever is wrong right. My unsolicited advice would be to watch closer and especially when other players have the ball.

I do agree with Tusk-n-raider that Williams plays soft and is really bad about minimal effort at times. I have also noticed that as the season progresses he just kind of disappears. RW leads college football in drops. I guess the real question is what does a team do with a highly paid player that is way underproducing? The talent is there but the will or effort to play wining football is notHe's still the best player on the team with the ball in his hands and still our 2nd leading WR and averaging the most yards per catch on the team. Wommack shifted gears and went man. It worked, and the defense looked great the rest of the game.1. yes, it was zone coverage. Talent has nothing to do with this. It's more of scheme. It has Pro/Cons... When it works, it works. when it doesn't, it really dont work. they switched to man-to man and it worked later in the game.
2. They stepped up when it counted the most, that's all it matters and they will continue to work on that.
