Anybody who thinks we just roll the ball out there and win haven't watched our last two games against Georgia. They whipped us for large portions of each game but our guys just wanted it more and made the clutch plays. 5-stars don't incapsulate want-to and the desire to not be denied.

Me either. I think Clemson matches up with OU better than we do. Frankly I’d rather play Clemson in the final than OU.

I think it is so funny how anyone could cry about the refs. Honestly, were there any controversial calls at all? The Bama hate is strong.

If you take a look at the replay on that fake punt, the plan was to pass the ball for the first down, but receivers were covered and he tucked and tried to run it. Regardless, that was a highly questionable call on Kirby's part.

Post-Game, Kirby said that the receiver was not covered initially, and before they could snap the ball, Bama realized what was going on, they covered him.
My question is, why they ran the play anyway?
4th and 11, defense plays safe, tie game, 50 yard line. You cannot snap that ball in that situation.

I just want to say how sweet it was to win after Georgia fans were chanting “UGA, UGA UGA!” Halfway through the 3rd quarter, like they had already won. You’d think they would have learned their lesson already. [emoji41]

Yep - and Fromm was on fire. When Fromm cooled down just a little bit, Alabama's defense was able to stop their offense. You just had to weather the storm and hope that Fromm would cool off.

We started getting pressure on Fromm late 3rd and 4th. He had a perfect pocket for almost 3 quarters.

This...the closer the game grew the more pressure UGA felt. When they were free-wheeling we were in trouble. Really proud of our defense for stepping it up and only giving up 7 points in the 2nd half.

We started getting more 3rd and mediums to get pressure on him. They did a good job of grinding and getting into schedule on offense to maximize their protect due to us having to respect run or pass.

Everyone had a bad game. You had 6 dropped passes the entire season, and almost as many in this single game. Your QB had 2 INTs the entire season, and as many today. I think that only Jalen and Jacobs had a great game, and Jacobs almost ruined that with his fumble that he recovered at the goal line.

You learn from it and get ready for the next victim!

What controversy? Tua is the best quarterback in Alabama history. He had a bad game. Not exactly the type of thing that leads to a controversy.

And he will be well by the playoffs........

Kirby says Saban would vote not to play him again. He sounded like a spoiled kid who was denied. He wouldn't even call him by name.

I wish I could say I loved this game, but I didn't. I did love the 4th quarter though. The guys just never gave up when it seemed like everything was going against them. Roll Tide!
