I still can’t get over the fact that we had this game in the bag, and absolutely threw it away. And what is up with Reichart all the sudden? Dude can’t kick a FG to save his life any more.

We are a good football team, just not as good as probably about 6-7 other teams out there are. This team is the most disappointing to me in terms of preseason expectations than I have seen in a very long time— probably in over 20 years.

Congrats to Tennessee, because they deserved to win.

No question we screwed up enough with penalties and bad defense to lose, not to mention many bad calls by the zebras. But our lack of situational analysis and pitiful clock management at the end of the game was absolutely inexcusable by this staff.

That's the thing. We did not commit 17 penalties.

It needs to be reworded. Alabama has never one with 17 penalties called on them, rather committed or not

Obviously I thought the PI on 4th down was nonsense but we benefited from a ticky tack call earlier with a similar impact.

Can’t play poorly against good teams in the road an expect to pull it out — but this one hurts.

I almost hope they beat UGA so we can avenge this loss in Atlanta.

I cannot stand Golding and I literally never blame the refs.
But the refs cost us this game. With every other weakness- two crappy coordinators, penalties, etc. The game should have been over on the Kool-aid interception. The refs gave this game to UCheat! Worst officiated game I can ever remember!!!

Yeah, the first half was horrendous and the Viles held on. Terrible defensive game and the biased DPI calls didn’t help us out either.

I just can't believe with the ability to pretty much run out the clock and try to get a closer field goal, BoB was just like let's pass the ball three times. He has to have awareness of both the range of Alabama's kicker (on the outer fringe) and the clock and he called plays like he was oblivious to both.

BoB and Golding are wasting Alabama's talent and they're wasting precious years of Saban's career.

I agree with everything, especially the last sentence. BOB not giving Gibbs the ball and trying to get a few more yards and run out the clock is stupid. I expect nothing less from him. Please find another job BOB!

That last series was a total failure on coach saban 30 seconds in field goal range and you allow bob to pass the ball three times? Seriously what was that? How do you, as the head coach allow that? Gibbs should be apocalyptic right now! The oline should be in the locker room tearing stuff up for that total meltdown in coaching. Scared playcalling all around. No excuses. Doesnt matter! the last 30 seconds was the worst clock and field awareness by the ENTIRE coaching staff i have seen. In all honesty they should have spiked the ball 3 straight times. Result would have been the same.
Golding should have been begging saban to run the ball. He darn sure knew the defense wasnt gonna win it.

Was trying to hard to get the ball to Gibbs. Should have ran it up the middle a couple times to take it down.

Yes it is. Remember, this is the 128th best pass defense in the country. Why don’t we have receivers running free down field? We have burners. I just don’t understand it.

The manufactured calls against Alabama, and the penalties ignored against Tennessee had a definite effect on this game.
