Agreed...but that’s all CGM has, sandlot crap...I really don’t like him. My next door neighbor looks just like him. He’s a really nice guy, but I just can’t hang with him...for that reason only...
To be fair, if Saban had come up with it those criticizing it would love it.

Auburn out-coached Bama there, plain and simple.

I've never been a "blame the refs" guy, but something's got to give. The amount of critical errors from the refs today was staggering.

I said it in the post game thread - I hope Saban raises mortal hell with the SEC and at least gets them to acknowledge the atrocity that was the refereeing today. Somebody needs to answer to this stuff.
Did we watch the same game??With two—not 1–pick sixes this game was NOT decided by the refs.

In regards to the “gift” field goal at the end of the half, Saban stated that one of the officials on the sideline next to him said “It’s not a issue putting a second on the clock. The clock will expire before they can get the snap off....”

Funny how the SECOfficiating twitter account has been remarkably silent on this one.

What decided the game was dumb penalties in big situations, and horrible defensive play throughout the game.

Two things I’m tired of hearing from our fans when it comes to Auburn week: 1) Jordan Hare is an overhyped place in Bama fans minds and 2) Gus only knows 3 plays. Gus is 3-1 at JHS vs us and we still haven’t figured out how to stop his offense unless we have an all time great defense.

Well when a team loses by 3 points and there was a FG allowed that should not have been, it's tough to say the game was NOT decided by the refs.

But yes, there were other factors (including lack of defense and discipline). However, when your team loses by 3 points and there was an illegal FG made, that is not something that is easy to overlook for me...

For Gus' offense to have success, it depends heavily on the defense being undisciplined. He uses a lot of eye candy, smoke and mirrors, misdirection etc. Things that take discipline to defend. He didn't have to have a Johnny Manziel, Cam Newton or Nick Marshall type quarterback against this year's Bama team to win. We were so undisciplined, a true freshman with a 50% completion percentage and less than 180 yards passing was able to do it. What an embarrassment...

I'm not as upset about this loss as I should be. I'm also not all that upset about Bama missing the playoffs. I'm kind of excited. Why? When it comes to the CFP and/or NCG there is added pressure and intensity coaches and players face. Now that the playoffs/NCG is no longer an option, Bama can spend the next X amount of days developing/coaching up the players that will be back and get them ready for a monstrous 2020 season, without the pressure of getting ready for the playoffs.

Ole Miss held them to 20 points at JHS. We can blame injuries, refs, and etc all we want to, but we can’t say Ole Miss has better players on defense than Alabama. This is by far the worst motivated and disciplined defense we have ever had and next year seems to going to be much the same.

One thing that kept being repeated over and over this year and last year was “the defense wasn’t that bad and most points were because the offense scored too fast”. Anyone still hanging onto that statement I really want to know what defenses you would take these last two over from 2007-2017. Hell at least you could say 2007 played their ass off and went above their potential, and 2010 needed a year to learn the defense. Quinnon masked a lot of our defensive flaws last year.

I don’t know if firing Golding fixes anything, but it seems inevitable at this point. I think we missed on too many must have defensive players the last few years and it’s finally caught up to us. We are left with too many highly talented defensive players that either don’t have the maturity on and off the field or don’t have the ability to quickly learn the Saban defense.

In allseriousness, the one thing I want to hear more than anything this next week is that this ref crew has been suspended and or/fired. Can’t blame a loss solely on refs, but these guys’ bungling mistakes resulted directly-directly! in gifting the game winning points to Auburn, and they apparently torpedoed our chance to win at the end of the game as well. If they aren’t seriously disciplined, then the whole SEC office needs to go. Burn it down.
I get your frustration - I really do. They screwed up seriously and missed some serious calls while making some ticky-tack calls they would never make for Bama's advantage.

That said, the reality is that as bad as AU is on offense this year, even with the two pick-6s this game shouldn't have been close. If the Bama D had played the way they're capable (on paper) of we'd be angry about the poor officiating but would be wondering whether we made the cut in the CFP or not. This loss is squarely on the shoulders of the coaching staff, and unless / until we face up to that particular music, we'll continue down the path we started last season.
