Saying Rees called a bad game is wrong or that we shouldn’t have stopped running is also a bad take. We ran almost every first down and put ourselves in a hole. Having a bad LT and qb make everything worse. 1 completion in the first qtr and what 3 in the second half is a killer. The 3rd down to go avg was horrific all game. But what do you call when a qb can’t and I mean can’t make quick decisions.

Saying KS called a poor game is also a bad take. He can’t complete the sack of the qb and things not to mention three and outs hurting them.
I don’t think anyone is saying CTRob🤣 called a bad game. That was effort and losing intensity. On the sack that went for 30 yards, the D linemen quit playing when Jefferson was in the grasp of #3. The defense only played bad for about an 8 minute span, still held the hogs to 250 yards of offense.

At some point, it just becomes evident this team is not going to make a lot of progress. LT is a big problem. Poor coaching as we are not helping Milton out. Lack of discipline. We are beating these teams merely because we have more talent. When we run up against an equally talented team, we will be in trouble. That said, good to see the tenacity. Those mistakes will not beat a disciplined and well coached team.

I sure hope we don't help Milton out next week. ;)

If I hear one more time about how "special" the 2023 team is and how we just need to "put it together" and "nobody can stop us" I will need to be put in a straight jacket. Nothing "special" about this version of the Tide. Plain and simple
We need an AMEN imoji or something for posts like these.
Nail on the head.
And the announcers trying to build up JM as a great qb......rediculous.

Does any get the feeling that the only real throw Milroe has the slightest confidence in is the deep ball? And because of that, he holds the ball too long, tries to extend the play, and takes the sack? And that lack of confidence in short to intermediate pass game leads to bad timing and high throws?

He makes pretty good calls although not like Sark. But the run stopped because ark sold out to stop it. Calling plays with the current LT situation and QB is one of the hardest it has been. Milroe can’t consistently hit what are normally easy throws like the wr quick game and screens so what do you do then?
my gripe is 5 running plays moved the ball 70 yards to the Arky 11, on third down and 3, run the ball, even If you don’t make it . Try the fourth down tush push. Instead they threw an incomplete pass to Burton which made it 4th and 3 . Too far away for a sneak. If you throw it in that situation, throw it to the tight end drifting into the flat or a play action shallow cross. the Real problem, and someone brought this up in the game thread, Kool Aid not adjusting to the punters leg. He needed to catch those punts and not let them roll 20 yards. Otherwise 70 yards of offense would have been aTD instead of third down.

We got worked at left tackle all day long. If my numbers are correct, we have given up 30 sacks in seven games. That is ridiculous. And it is a combination of question play calling, a unsure QB holding on to the ball too long, and an offensive line that apparently had “their fat girlfriends telling them how great they are” all fall camp.
He’s in the worst possible place he could be on the line at left tackle, with the possible exception of center. He’s way too slow on his feet. Maybe try him at right guard.

I believe that is a lot of it.
It's gonna kill us down the road.

Granted Milroe struggled but the second half has to be placed on coaching staff. OC had a really bad day after early success. You gotta do things to help your QB. We were successfully running and then just went away from it
Can't put this on Rees. WR's were, again, open when they should be, but doesn't deliver the ball, or delivers it very late and/or very difficult to catch. All the progress we thought we saw in the second half last week went completely away and then some. ARK stacked the box, and dared us to beat them another way and we couldn't...

I agree. I told others around I would run the tush push twice there if needed.

kool aid seemed scared to catch one this game to me. But also on coaching not to adjust his position.

I'd so much rather here announcers point out flawas when we are good than them blowing wind up our skirts when it's obvious we are a hot mess on offense.
Well I do have a cute little houndstooth sun dress I wear when I watch games but I quit wearing it because it clashes with all the gray in my beard……

Where in the hell do you hear any of that? We are all on the verge of being suspended with our negative comments.

If JM has the same amount of confidence that I have in his short passing game it's pretty low! :D

What was up with throwing the ball away on third and three before the field goal? There was nobody close. Why not wait another second or two for someone to come open, or better yet, lower the shoulder and try to get those three yards.
