Lots of thoughts here.

1. We made things more difficult than they needed to be.
2. However, Credit to their fans for making it an atmosphere that made it difficult for us to communicate.
3. We're just gonna have to take the good with the bad with 2. For every lost fumble or unnecessary lost yardage trying to make a play, there's a 3rd & 15 run or a 3 & 9 run for a first down.
4. Speaking of, that last field goal was icing, but 2 took their souls with the 2 aforementioned runs. They were done. They were demoralized.
5. And speaking of field goals....let's not speak of field goals
6. Seamless transition from Minkah to safety. Great stuff.
7. We'll need to score the way we did in the 2014 Iron Bowl in this year's rendition. Gotta trust 2 to throw it down the field.
8. Daron Payne is a man. A full grown man.
9. In 3 career games vs. Bama, Fournette has a total of 145 yards and 1 TD (2.5 ypc). That's good work.
10. Tip of the cap to LSU's DC for his game plan. He outcoached Lane tonight. We just have more really good players than they do up front.
My favorite Daron Payne moment came on the penalty in the 3Q. He was on LSUs sideline & a couple of their young bucks thought they would step towards him to challenge him. He bowed up and they quickly decided they didn't want any. Even though they outnumbered him. Full grown man is right.

Yeah, they made a business decision. Smart move on their part.

I notice on their "TigerWhinings" board, it's all the refs again. An uncalled hold on Jalen's TD made the whole difference. This was after they were allowed to go practically the whole game throwing our players to the ground while OOB. They whined about the one time that they did get called for it. It must be a miserable way to go through life...

Before the season most analysts (and me) thought we had a great team, but the road schedule was too tough to go undefeated. USC in Arlington.....52-6
At Ole Miss............48-43
At Arkansas...........49-30
At Tennesse...........49-10
At LSU..................10-0
I think we passed that test!

The more they complain about the refs and the REC, the more I love it :-D

We were VERY fortunate to win and Adam can't kick. I pull for him every game. He can't kick.
Bama outgained them 323-125 with a third of LSU's O on one closely covered pass. They had 1 first down for the second half and 6 for the game. Their deepest penetration without 2 Bama TOs was the Bama 45. They were in Bama's territory once in the 2nd half due to a fumble and ended on their side of the 50. LSU should have never been in the game. Their offense was completely throttled. Their D played well, but even then gave up 323 yards and what typically would/should have been 17-20 points. IMO, a better characterization would be that LSU was VERY fortunate to even be in the game.

Some saying the missed holding call it should have been OT after ending regulation 0-0. Hmmm. I think it probably would at least 6-0 or at worse 3-0. If they got their wannabe hold on the TD run. Their one long pass was a push off.... And all the short spots the refs gave Bama. Phantom false starts and once again I believe they hardly had any penalties against LSU.... Really? 4th and 1 and Bama went for it. A short FG there would have won this game. Sore losers. Their offense got mauled ....That's what lost them the game.

A win on the road against a top 15 team who came ready to play. It wasn't our best game of the season, but our D pitched a shutout and our O score before time expired. Maybe some who picked us to lose to the Whos before the season started are a little upset it didn't happen.

Last three times LSU has been shut out @ home has come against Bama:
1996- 26-0
2001- 31-0
2016- 10-0

Also tonight is the first time a team has beaten 4 ranked teams in a row since AU did it in 1983.

We could've played 8 quarters and LSU would still have a donut on their side of the scoreboard. On the other hand, Alabama clearly had broken the LSU defense down a bit. If not for a BS false start call, we would've used 18 minutes of clock and scored 2 touchdowns on our final two possessions.

I just learned from an LSU fan that we won only because "a few calls went our way." I must have missed those.

The term "domination" doesn't get thrown around much in a game that was scoreless for three quarters and within one possession until the end. But that one score might as well have been five. We haven't seen a defensive performance like this since New Orleans. Did LSU even throw at Tony Brown?

One growing concern: We must recover some semblance of a mid- and downfield passing game or the Auburn game will be more difficult than it needs to be, not to mention the playoffs. Etling was brave but not very good. Watson, Jackson, Barrett et al will score some points, even against us.

Now that I am "retired..." I can get up on a Sunday and read the entire post-game thread. You all had quite a good discussion going on about domination, penalties and AG's kicking. My 2 cents worth:

1. Field position, LSU's good athletes on Defense and good plan thwarted us for a half. Add in some questionable play calling...but LK is way ahead of me. I do think running inside and wearing them down helped considerably. BS was on a tear...

2. Penalties played no role...the ref's were really quite reserved and let us play. Yes, they missed some calls -- always do. They also saw one that didn't happen...RP on the goal line. Such is life.

3. We dominated defensively...but so did they for 2 quarters. We missed some golden opportunities in the 3rd that could have come back to bite us. Our OL did not have their best game...but LSU had a lot to do with that.

4. I am glad that LSU had their defensive game plan...and we got to see it early. I can assure you we will see such strategy again...like this week??? AU???

5. I hope 'Sip wakes up in a better mood...
